Took mom for an early Mother's Day lunch to avoid the mayhem and crowds some. Made a reservation a week out for 11AM to allow us time to have a leisurely tea, scones and lunch and have time digest before dinner some. The scones from...here look good, the Devonshire creams too. My mother loves her clotted cream and scones, since it was her sister's jam. Blueberry super fruit and coconut mango tea. Scones are out immediately. The European almond is light and nice. The cherry almond was okay. Ordered the salmon quiche and a spinach and feta quiche, side salad comes with each quiche, added a scoop of chicken on both side salad and a veggie frittata to share between us. The blueberry scone is my favorite, my mom's is the cherry almond. The salmon quiche was okay, the havarti cheese and dill was decent. The spinach, feta and cherry tomatoes quiche was good. The chicken salad was the best part of our luncheon. It's not too heavy on mayo and perfectly seasoned. The veggie frittata is not my favorite at all. 6 pack of cherry almond scones to go for mom, that's her favorite.More

The Royal Treat Tea Room is such a fun place to meet up with friends and eat some tasty food. I so enjoy looking at all of the very old and pretty tea cups and pots. I have found a new favorite tea as well....The food is always delicious. The menu is limited but who cares when it tastes so good.More

The scones here are so good that unless you are a master baker, you will quit making them at home. Also, the quiches are great. I buy a whole quiche and it easily feeds 6 couples for an elegant brunch.

The restaurant is small, but decorated perfectly to fit its theme. The smell of scones is heavenly when you walk in the door. My children took me for brunch to celebrate my birthday. We had quiche with salad which was very tasty. The scones were already...on the table, so we didn't get to select our scones. They were all covered with some type of glaze which made them very sweet. I would have preferred a plain one. They were a bit under staffed for the Saturday crowd and we had to wait a while to get a refill of tea. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and I would return.More

My best friend was considering having her baby shower here, so of course, we had to go and check the place out. It was easy to find right on the street, but for some reason seems tucked away. We walked in at 9:30ish on Saturday...and realized we forgot to make a reservation! Luckily, they had a few tables available and we were able to get a nice spot. The scones were already on the table when we got there, I believe there were five or six, which we split in half. For tea, you can choose from the house specials, or pick three tea bags from the extensive tea wall, which we did to get a little more variety for our morning. I was highly impressed with the scores as well as the lemon curd, which tasted fresh. But of course, my friend and I go for the Devonshire cream, which was lighter (whipped I think?) than I've had in the past, but very very good. If I had one complaint about that, I would say we didn't have enough cream! After scones we choose to order food, she the quiche and I the frittata. We both really enjoyed our breakfasts. There were long breaks when the servers didn't come over to our table, but there seemed to be only two for a room that can seat 75. I would highly recommend for those looking for a tea & scones venue, and plan to be back for the baby shower and other treats!More

I have been a fan of Jen's Just Delicious Scones for a very long time and have always wished I lived closer to frequent her Royal Tea Room. I convinced my girlfriends into driving 35 miles to enjoy morning tea with scones and quiche. We...were all SO happy we made the trip; it was well worth it! The Tea Room is very cozy and delightful. Lots of Old World charm with antique tea cups, furniture and chairs. Probably no need to say that a majority of the customers were women, although I did spot a couple of gentlemen tucked away in the corner. We were seated at a very quaint corner table with a bowl of scones (they all looked amazing!). We ordered the Lady Earl Grey tea along with scones, quiche and fruit. It was perfect. I have had scones in London, England, from Harrods and these were SO much better. We did have to wait a little bit for service and were somewhat confused about the ordering process, but once we asked, we knew what to do. Highly recommend a visit. And can guarantee you won't be walking out without purchasing some additional scones and baked goods to take home with you. Will be definitely returning very soon.More

YES they do have sugar free scones but the selection is limited and they do not carry a lot of them, but even the regular free scones are not that sweet but you can try a mixed pack and there I believe there are 4 to a pack... More
