About
With the soul of a snow-covered lodge and the repose of a sun soaked beach house, Bostwick Lake Inn sits aside the tranquil waters of Bostwick Lake on the outskirts of Rockford, Michigan. A century's worth of history and character can be felt amongst the warm hues and knotty pine of the "BLI". The four-season deck is the favored spot for dining, with the option to enjoy a craft beer or cocktail on the beach during warm weather months. The restaurant menu is highlighted by farm-fresh fare, smoked tinged shareables and imaginative takes on traditional American cuisine. Our regular guests rate the Potato Crusted Walleye and Crispy Brussels Sprouts as can't miss classics. Whether you are seeking

The food never disappoints and the staff is friendly. I recommend trying anything of the daily specials menu along with truffle fries.

Had my birthday dinner, take out style. I had the crusted walleye which came with whipped yukons and grilled asparagus. Excellent and the accompanying remoulade very good. Wife had the French Dip and son had blue cheese olive burger with truffle fries. Again, all excellent....All packaged up nice and arrived at door at perfect temperature. Nice work BLI.More

I know it is very difficult for restaurants to police their clients. The hostess staff did a great job of seating patrons appropriately; all wait staff wore masks; using alternate tables. But while there for an hour, there were 4 patrons walk by without masks...and no one challenged them. Two men in masks came and stood right next to our table. I asked why they would stand 1' away from me, they responded they were "just watching the tv".More

Expecting the food and service we were accustomed to at their old flagship restaurant the Thornapple Village Inn, what a dissapointment! It was garlic everything! The tenderloin was overpriced for the quality, and the service was unimpressive to say the least. Best to hang onto...memories of what the flagship was before!More

When we want a "nice" dinner out but in a very comfortable atmosphere, we select BLI... Bostwick Lake Inn. You sort of expect a pedestrian menu from such an old establishment as BLI. But I'm pleasantly surprised by some of the choices and flavors they...combine. I think this is an underrated restaurant, if you haven't tried it out, you shouldMore

The four of us arrived at the restaurant on a Friday night and were delighted that we got immediate seating. The place has a welcoming entrance with gift shop, paved parking and is handicapped accessible. There is outdoor seating right on the lake but because...of the weather, we enjoyed our inside table near a fireplace. The decor is vintage boathouse with lots of wood and some antique memorabilia. The man who waited on us was very attentive and we got our drinks (reasonably priced) very quickly. The menu was just extensive enough to please any appetite. We all got something different and the food was tasty and presented in an attractive way. All of us enjoyed our food and the wait was not excessive. If I had any complaint it was the noise level. With the gathering crowd, the wooden floors, and the entertainment, I could hardly hear the person next to me. This is a nice place but don't go if you want a quiet conversation.More

My husband and I along with another couple met here for dinner on a Friday. The wait to sit outside was an hour+ but we expected that so that was fine. 3 of us enjoyed our food and the drinks were yummy and strong. 1...member of our party had a salad and it looked sad, not good at all. After we finished our meals, the waitress was pressuring us to leave and that got very annoying which is why I'm giving a 3 star vote. We were quiet and considerate, enjoying ourselves in conversation. I don't appreciate being interrupted multiple times so you can turn tables quicker.More

The walleye was very good. We had gelato for dessert. No reservations needed. The outdoor patio overlooking the lake made our evening very relaxing.

This was supposed to be a family get together with my siblings...sort of a special treat! The restaurant opens at 4:00 & our party of six arrived at 4:45! Already at that time we were told there was a TWO HOUR wait for an outside...table! We decided to accept a table inside...still waiting close to a half hour! When we were seated and ordered, four of us ordered their lake perch dinner! The perch was not very good...fishy & not very tasty! The meals were also not hot either! The atmosphere was dark & noisy! Doubt that we will be back anytime soon!More

We had very good service. There is a nice deck to enjoy the lake views. The menu has everything from appetizers to fresh entrees. This restaurant has been around for decades.
