Yates is historic site that gives a look back in time. They still have a function waterwheel that still provides power to areas of the mill. It is situated on a river and and has long walking trails, picnic tables, and BBQ pits for picnickers. They have cider, donuts, and assorted ice favorites and very reasonable prices. It's a nice... They don't come cheap, but the cinnamon-sugar doughnuts at Yates are, bar none, the best cider mill doughnuts I've ever had. Well worth the trip, every single time. When I really feel like splurging, I also get myself a peanut-covered caramel apple. I also had their ice cream for the first time last week (some kind of specialty sundae concoction... More

We are local to the Yates Cider Mill and it is a tradition to go there every fall. Both of our children had their first jobs at Yates. It has been family owned for generations. The cider is fresh as are the donuts and other baked goods. There are a few attractions for children and a nice hiking trail near.... More

Yates has great cider and donuts but also other delicious treats as well. There are goats to feed, ponies to ride (in the fall) and a trail to hike which takes you out and back along a river. Great photo ops and fun for all! Parking and traffic get busy during peak fall weekends but with a little patience parking... More

I can walk here from my house so the lack of parking is not an issue for me nor would i make that lower my rating. Love it here since there is so much to see, do and EAT! Love the cider slush and the ice cream dipped cones and just walking around the river.

Enjoyed the yummy donuts and fresh pressed apple cider. We went for a walk on the nearby trail afterwards. Nice place to visit on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

We live very close to the cider mill and visit weekly, but mostly during off seasons and days they're closed. The trail is nice to just stroll down when the place is empty. It's very pretty here. There are tons of bees in summer though, so be careful. The donuts here are the best you will taste, and the cider... More

If you come to Rochester, you have to visit Yates Cider Mill. The fresh warm donuts are the perfect size. The cider is made on location by an apple press powered by water. The big water wheel outside is just for show, and rich in the area tradition. There's a petting zoo the kids enjoy and a nice trail following... More

This is one of the places you could spend the whole day and enjoy the outside weather in the fall. Great cider and donuts and a lot of other things there.
