Extraordinary place, up a very twisty track, hairpin after hairpin to an isolated farmhouse. Stunning location. stunning views, even at night. There are a succession of small rooms so that private functions are quite possible. Reservation is essential, otherwise it doesn't open. There is no menu though there might be a choice of mains, in our case between veal stew... More

We were recommended to try this restaurant by our excellent taxi driver Tintin! Bookings in Summer are clearly essential! We had a drive of about 25 to 30 minutes from Saint-Florent up into the hills above the village of Murato. The scenery was magnificent! The last kilometre or two is up a farm drive - you dont need a land... More

As soon as you arrive to this restored farmhouse, you realise that the drive was worth it. There are two ways to get to here from Bastia (see google maps) but take the N193 route as the other way winds around the mountains on roads only wide enough for 1 car. Very scary if you're not a local. It's quite... More

We had booked in for dinner and a one night stay at the Ferme-Auberge Campo di Monte. We looked forward to this because of what my wife relates on her blog - http://www.gallivantingisadora.blogspot.fr/2013/05/our-first-night-in-corsicacampo-di-monte.html. We found our way to the Ferme-Auberge ( up 2 kms of rough track - thank goodness we have a Land Rover) looking forward to a restful... More

I agree with the two other reviews wholeheartedly -- however the first course, a hot rich soup with beans and potatoes is really not what one craves during a heat wave. Save it for the winter months! Otherwise, the beignets are so delicious - and all you want, so watch your waistline. Also, don't try to stray - at all... More

Thank goodness for the GPS as this place is tucked away on a mountain side with a narrow 2km road directly to the place. It is as green as Oz and a magnificent setting. It was raining and the sound on the roof made it even more romantic/ Stone walls and old beams gave way to beignets with fresh goats... More

Set in an old Auberge at the top of a 2km poorly maintained and steep road, you would never expect to find such a beautiful place to eat. You're greeted by the owner who welcomes you with a handshake and a big smile, then shown to the terrace to enjoy an aperitif of the local Muscat. 'Terrace' is an understatement... More
