Have always wanted to try Joe's Gizzard City Cafe - and finally made it with some family members. The place was packed (it was Trivia Night) and though it took some time to get seated, service was good. The menu was extensive but certainly not a gastronomical delight - unless you are into deep fried 'everything.' Certainly tried the gizzards... More

A quick change to a business meeting had me and my boss looking for a place to eat en route to Lansing. The trusty TV Food Maps highlighted Joe's Gizzard City, which I actually remembered from an episode of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. At first I was thinking that gizzards might not be the best option, but once I took... More

Saw this on Triple D. We pass near it often but usually trying to get somewhere quickly so can't stop. Several years ago we did and my wife had the time of her life eating gizzards. Stopped again today and the gizzards are as good as ever but find they have additions to their menu. Lots of deep fried items... More

Went to Joe'so Gizzard City for dinner on a Friday night as a solo traveller. The attraction was the fact that it had been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I was left standing at the front. Eventually seated myself. Was moved three times to accommodate a large group coming in. When I did get my meal, it was wrong.... More

We found this on Guy Fieri's Triple D listing for Michigan -- I absolutely love gizzards so had to try it out!! If you didn't know in advance -- you would not recognize this meal as a chicken gizzard -- their secret is marinating the gizzards in herbs and beer for over 13 hours! Daughter-in-law and granddaughter loved the fried... More

WE always stop at McD's in Porterville when traveling North, but it was close to lunchtime. I suggested we stop at Gizzard City. My son's wasabi burger was great, but my order of gizzards was so extremely tender, hot, great herb breading that wasn't greasy. They absolutely were the best I've had since my mom made them. So tender, so... More

The food was inedible. Worst I have ever had. The venue seems to be a regular for locals and people stopping in to get the gizzard platter so some people enjoy it. Of the 6 meals we got only one person would even eat there food - the pulled pork sandwich. The server was so pleasant and busy I really... More

Always wanted to try their gizzards because I like gizzards a lot. They're the best in the Lansing area. Service was good along with the tacos my wife had.

While in Michigan for a graduation party, decided to check out Joe's Gizzard City. Two in the party tried the gizzards (the sampler and the tex-mex) and were not disappointed The servings were huge! Just a heads up, Joe's serves their gizzards fried in batter and then dusts them in seasonings. We also had batter dipped, fried green olives, which... More

Been here twice and was very satisfied. The fish sandwich was excellent and the Triple D burger will not disappoint! The gizzards are tender and had a good flavor to them. A must stop if you're in the area!
