In difficult times, and limited by Michigan’s current dining limitations, Cove Lakeside created a way to dine outside and be inside. They upgraded storage Pods with sliding glass doors, interior lighting, and fireplace space heaters. There are posters on the walls, and a Bluetooth speaker...for music. They have very good Covid safety protocols. Their regular menu was available. Our server- Kennedy - was very gracious, and helped us keep on schedule without us feeling pushed. The food was great.More

Dining Out across the U.S. has significantly changed (if it’s even available). We selected the “Cove” for its location on West Lake and it was OPEN! This restaurant was a terrific choice for its commitment to safely and responsibility in operating in public. The menu...was tempting and the food was tasty. Our server (Brendan) was delightful and displayed measures we had not even considered to ensure our health protection. This was a fun evening and dining out made better by the Millennium Restaurant Group. THANK YOU !!!More

Maybe it was a good thing there was no greeting, as it was difficult to decide where to sit. Even with outdoor lakeside seating available, it was decided to dine inside. It is a somewhat trendy atmosphere, with a nautical theme and great views of...West Lake. A request was made to slightly delay the serving of dinner so it would arrive at the time of the sunset. This occurred, with impeccable timing. The “Great Lakes Whitefish” had a fine taste. There was very good service for the duration of this visit.More

My wife and I hadn't been to this restaurant since being kids for Jason's Cove back then. Amazing how beautiful this facility and setting on the lake is. The Staff and Manager were terrific. Our waitress Jenn was awesome and they all made our 22nd...wedding anniversary fantastic! Loved all of it and your food is outstanding. We can't wait to come back!More

We were celebrating a recent retirement and chose The Cove. The restaurant is lovely and we enjoyed Troy's (manager) personal touch. My husband had the cod and said it was delicious. I really enjoyed the risotto. We will be back again, soon.

As everyone says the setting is stellar. We chose to sit inside the day we visited. Very windy and not as warm. Still our table inside had amazing view of the lake and the deck. Interior is very modern comfortable and up to date. We...came for lunch, so not an extensive menu selection. I started with a cup of their French Onion soup and wished I had chosen a bowl with some bread. It was delicious. Followed with a fresh green salad with their dressing. It was a large salad with a lot of vegetables but the dressing was quite tasteless. Hubby's sandwich was just okay, nothing special, and he agreed the salad dressing was not the best. Service was very good. I think they could offer more selections and bump up the quality of the food.More

Anytime I can dine near water, I’m happy. This restaurant has an absolutely beautiful view with which to enjoy your meal, as it’s located directly right next to West Lake. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I feel like food selection could be better,...though they prepare well what they do offer. More options that are both vegan, gluten-free, AND delicious would bring this place up a notch (at the very least, a Beyond Meat burger or something, and more hearty salad options with vegan GF dressing options?). Skinny truffle fries (instead the boring chunks of potato called steak fries) would be nice as an alternative as well. For the patio, the greenery they added this year is absolutely beautiful and takes the ambiance from very good to great! I do wish they would add a permanent awning so we could dine outside during a warm summer rain (any chance to be outside after long winters are helpful), and perhaps a see through sunshade facing west for extremely hot days. All in all though, this is still a nice place to dine because you can’t beat the ambiance and the view, especially in summer!More

My husband and I went to this restaurant with a large group of friends on a Monday night which is 30% off night at Millenium restaurants. That coupled with the fact that it was a gorgeous summer night and the restaurant has a lovely view...of a lake meant that before 6 p.m. the restaurant is crowded and busy. We both ordered the house salad which was very good: fresh greens and more vegetables than what one usually gets. The lemony dressing was delicious. He ordered crab cakes which he reported as good, but not outstanding. I ordered the catch of the day which was simply prepared and cooked just right, however the vegetables accompanying the entree were disappointing. The broccoli was barely cooked and hard to cut even with a knife. There was a pureed orange vegetable or potato, but you couldn't tell what it was and the server failed to tell us. The server also didn't ask if we would like coffee or dessert and just brought our bills. Overall just a fair dining experience in a lovely setting with a fun group.More

The parking lot of the Cove is always full, so we decided to try the restaurant for the first time on a weekday evening. My husband and I were seated inside with a nice view of the lake. The decor of the restaurant is up...to date and comfortable. I had a pear margarita before dinner and the Mahi-Mahi dinner special for an entree. My husband ordered the whitefish and we both had some Pinot Grigio with our meals. Both dinners were good, and while we both like our vegetables braised still firm, the vegetables we were served were still mostly raw. My carrots were very difficult to cut, and the same with my husbands broccolini. His fish was cooked perfectly, but mine appeared to be sitting under a warming light as it had formed a dry crust that was much more cooked than the of the fish. I requested a lemon wedge, which helped to moisten the Mahi-Mahi, and it was edible. We enjoyed the pineapple upside down cake for dessert, which was enhanced by the coconut ice cream. The server was attentive without being intrusive or pushy, and we enjoyed the experience.More
