We took my mother in law here for a belated Mother's Day celebration, and it was really nice. They do require reservations, so make sure you plan ahead. We all had the high tea and everyone was happy with their selections. You get to choose your tea, 2 sandwiches, a scone, and 2 little pastries. I had the chamomile tea,... More

My friend and I went with an authentic British man. He said the Sweet Afton Tea Room was like being in London so I will take him at his word. I love the tea settings in different patterns. He chose our tea and all of us went with the Black teas ... no Herbal for me. I had the chicken... More

I took my seven year old granddaughter here for lunch while she was on Christmas break. The service was excellent and the restaurant is very charming. The tea was the perfect temperature and very tasty. The food was quite disappointing. I ordered the High Tea and my granddaughter had the Little Princess tea. To say it was overpriced is an... More

We are lifelong Plymouth residents. My mother has always wanted to take her daughters and granddaughters to tea here and yesterday we did it. Our reservation was for 11:30 and we arrived at 11:40 partly due to difficulty finding parking in the area. Not crazy late by any stretch. We were seated but nobody acknowledged us until 12:05. And then... More

My girlfriends and I decided to eat here for lunch. I ordered the Quiche of the Day which had veggies in it. It came with a cheddar muffin and a side salad. It was very tasty and light. My friends got the shepherd's pie and the Tavern's sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals. We each got our own tea but... More

I love Sweet Afton's. The food is very good, the tea wonderful, and the staff very helpful and pleasant. If you are one that rates tea rooms by their scones then you are in luck. The scones are good. This tea room has seen a few new owners in the last several years but this owner is doing a great... More

This was probably my sixth or seventh time dining at Sweet Afton. It really is more than just a tea place; they have a full menu also. My daughter and I got the High Tea and it was lovely. We were worried that it wouldn't be filling enough but it was more than enough. Highly recommend.

We came for a family/friends baby shower and the tea room was closed for this private party. Space was cute, clean and quaint thoughtfully set up and service well orchestrated. Great setting for women from 4 to 75. Food ranged from tiny appetizers through the requisite tea sandwiches with no crusts to homemade scones, preserves and little tartlets. We brought... More

Who doesn't love to dress up a little but and have a spot of tea and finger sandwiches? This place is great for kids and grownups alike. We make it a tradition to go to the tea room with Grandma on special occasions! Love the large selection of tea and that you get your own special pot and none of... More

Drove to Plymouth to have high tea at Sweet Afton Tea Room, what a grand experience. Do make reservations ahead of time, small dining area and reservations are a must. All the servings are very good, from the high tea through the sandwiches, you can't miss. All the teas are very good also. Highly recommend this establishment.
