March 2020- We finally decided to try This place. Went in on a Saturday at 2:30 and nobody was in there. Since it was our first time, we wanted to try a couple things so we asked If they had a combo, for $25 you...can get 2 meats and 1 side. So we tried the pulled pork and the Brisket with the Cheesy potatoes. Also wanted to try the greens and dirty rice so we got a side of each. The dirty rice isn’t listed as a side option, only a full meal but you can get it as a side for $5 if you ask. So one combo meal and 2 extra sides was $37. Plenty of food for us to share, probably enough for 3 people To share. We aren’t sure if we got double portion of pork or half brisket and half pork. They looked the same and tasted the same. We’ll have to see next time around. The Dirty rice was by far our favorite part of the meal. But it is really salty. And I like salt. Could use less for sure. The Cheesy potatoes were also good, my husband didn’t really care for them. The meats were also good. The least favorite were the greens. They lacked flavor. I also didn’t care for the “Cole slaw” they serve on the side. It’s not a creamy cole slaw, rather the cabbage mix with a little vinegar on it. The spicy pickles were good. They also only have one BBQ sauce to choose from but it’s really good, my kind of bbq sauce. Sweet and tangy. There is a Red wine vinegar option as well, but we didn’t care for that. Overall it was pretty good, even though I still think it’s a little over priced. We will definitely go back again as I’d like to try the ribs, cream corn and Mac & cheese next time. May 2020- Edit to add 2nd visit, we tried the ribs, corn casserole, mac & cheese and chicken wings this time. Had to get the dirty rice again because it was so good last time! Wings, Mac & cheese and corn casserole were good. Would get those again! I didn’t care for the ribs, my husband thought they were good. I prefer fall of the bone ribs and these were not that. You had to knaw the meat off the bone and they weren’t very meaty. So I probably wouldn’t order them again. Only a couple things left to try!More

We have probably eaten here 10-15 times and I really can not say enough good things about this place. Everything we have tried has been delicious and cooked to perfection. My wife loves BBQ chicken and it has never been dry or overcooked like we...have experienced at other BBQs. I am a fan of their 'fully dressed' pulled pork sandwich. Every side and soup I have tried has been great. The owners, Aaron and Kim, are friendly and a pleasure to chat with while enjoying a meal. Highly recomended.More

Phenomenal comfort food served by 2 amazing people. We tried a mixed sampling and EVERYTHING was absolutely decadent. The smoked meatballs were to die for. My fiancé loved the brisket and ribs, and the dirty rice was the best I have ever had! We highly...recommend giving this place a try if you are in the Metro Detroit area, whether you are visiting or live here. You will NOT be disappointed!!More

This is the best Southern style BBQ I've had since I left Memphis, TN. Pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and chicken are all perfectly wood smoked. The sides are delicious. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. This husband and wife team knock it...out of the park.More
