Amazing food! Everything is delicious and heartwarming. It feels like going home to your favorite place in the world to hang out and eat. Lovely staff! Charming hostess! Great servers. The Walleye is the best I have ever had!

I've been to La Cantina, in Paw Paw, Michigan, many times. I grew up in Kalamazoo and it was my father's favorite restaurant. Get the Rosie's Special with double sausage and sprinkle a little of their house vinaigrette on it (also get a house salad...- it uses the same vinaigrette). I kid you not - this is the best pizza in the world. My wife does not always want pizza and has had some of their other Italian dishes. Everything is amazing. I'm not going to say it is the best Italian restaurant in the world, but it is very good and certainly a jewel in Paw Paw. What really sets this place off is the pizza. I've been all over Europe and had pizza in countless places - including recently all over Italy. There are amazing pizza places everywhere if you can find them, but there is only one La Cantina and it has the best pizza I have ever had.More

We ate dinner here during Paw Paw’s annual wine festival. We started with appetizers of golden, tender calamari with delicious thick marinara sauce, a uniquely flavorful seafood cheese stuffed portobello mushroom with slices of soft baguette, and the cheesy garlic bread. We also tried La...Cantina’s red wine vinegar to dip the garlic bread. I ended up buying 4 bottles of this vinegar. Then we ordered the tender chicken Marsala with spaghetti and seasonal vegetables. This entree was very good! Our other entree was the ravioli with meat sauce and Italian sausage, The meat sauce was very flavorful and the sausage was wonderful, but the 3 gigantic ravioli were tough. I had to use a knife to cut through the tough ravioli pasta. I would never order this dish again! For desserts, we ordered the “authentic” spumoni, the cannoli, and the terrimusu. All were very good. The restaurant has an extensive wine list too! The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and comfortable with the strings of white lights, cables on the tables and the red and white checkered table cloths covered with a sheet of white paper, There was live music on the patio . The restaurant doesn’t open until 5:00, and customers are lined up down the sidewalk before then. So get there early!More

Have been going to La Cantina in Paw Paw for many many years. This time we went with a couple of my high school, friends, Chuck Klett, and Ronny Richter. My wife Janet has been going there longer than I have and that’s a long...time. Always the same great food, and great time was had by all. We always grab a couple bottles of wine in the retail area to have at our table. It’s third generation family still making memories. Go if you are anywhere close.More

We arrived here around 5:30 for dinner before our nephew's football game in Decatur. We sat in the back corner with a lovely view of the lake and changing leaf colors outside the large windows. We ordered a pizza made to order with each of...our favorite toppings on two halves. We were told it would take 45-50 minutes for the pizza (!) so we also ordered an appetizer of two meatballs while we waited. My husband enjoyed the meatballs whereas I thought they were a bit bland compared to some we recently had elsewhere. We both enjoyed the pizza although it certainly did take a long time to make it. The server was nice and mostly efficient until the end when we waited a long time for the bill.More

Played golf at Stonehenge Gull lake and Milham park tomorrow. Staying overnight near Kalamazoo but most hotels in Kazoo priced high or not great reviews. Staying in Comfort inn Paw Paw so went to Brewster s historic pub for drinks and appetizers and over to...La Cantina for som tasty Italian. Chicken Marsala awesome as others on TripAdvisor have mentioned. Wife’s lasagna good. Only complaint as others have mentioned is for the higher prices$17 lasagna, $19.95 chicken Marsala a salad and good bread should come with it in no my no opinion. For a most m likely paid for 3 generations owned building kinda cheap for what you pay. Very nice waitress, plenty of seating on a Thursday night at 6. We still bought and shared a salad for I think $5 and as others have said a tasty home made vinaigrette dressing. Would come again, nothing this tasty and quality on north side of Grand Rapids.More

Great Italian food and ambiance (A+). The service is always terrific. Many times, we've been greeted at the door by the owner (manager). Their weeknite specials are a great deal. Dining here is always a treat!

Stopped through for a visit to the area after living there 25 years ago! La Cantina was open and had a deck area for an early dinner. We were served by Michelle who did a wonderful job and enjoyed the scenery and beautiful weather! The...food was very good…possibly the best Chicken Parmesan I’ve ever had! Lightly breaded, a touch crispy and very tender. Couldn’t have asked for better service! Thanks Michelle!More

I don’t understand negative reviews??? We had a terrific experience (almost everything!). We had a party of 8 who where served well by Kelly. Food was super fresh and very tasty. Kitchen must of been understaffed as entrees were slow to arrive but, oh my,...they were good. The pork chop was divine. Steak was great too. Spaghetti and meatballs were huge. The only negatives were the slow kitchen and the older lady in the take away area could seriously take a lesson in being pleasant. She was just nasty about two of us inadvertently waiting in the wrong area. Could have missed a great dinner with her meanness! But other than this, a great dinner!!!More

We ate here last night for the first time and will definitely be back. Charming location with a view of Maple Lake. The shrimp cocktail and stuffed portabella mushroom appetizers were delicious. My entree of linguine in clam sauce was just the way I like...it. My husband had the house specialty chicken and enjoyed it as well. Very friendly service and portions are generous.More

Since the place has reopened they have raised the prices excessively higher by making everything ala carte and even charge four dollars for bread. And the s..lad that came with your entree is now $4.99 for a bowl of just lettuce and vintage and oil...salad. So now your meal is 150 percent more. They blame it on covid but it an excuse to raise prices. They need to work on their red sauce it not good. The food is okay but not for the prices.More

The food is good here. Our waitress was good. However, EVERYTHING is ala carte. Since they have opened back up after the virus, they charge you for everything. We had to pay to have bread brought to our table. Really? At these prices for the...entree?? And the side salads & costs were not listed on the menu making it awkward to ask the price. Also, they had "twangy" LOUD music playing while we were there. Definitely not an Italian restaurant vibe. We asked to have it turned down which they did after awhile but then we had to ask at least 4 more times to have it turned down as the volume kept going back up. Unbelievable! It was loud enough we had a hard time hearing the waitress with her face shield on. A couple nearby also complained as they had sensitivity issues after being in a bad accident. We meet our friends here to get together as we come from different directions. We agreed afterwards we would be looking elsewhere to meet next time.More

The veal parmigiana reminded us of liver in texture and was really dry. Our waiter Tony was condescending to different people in our party and it was not worth the inflated price.

Depends what time you are going to be arriving. They do start to get very busy around 7:30-8:00 pm. I would definitely think about reservations.
