I was pleasantly surprised when my breakfast was served in the old skillet style pan. Really flavorful, generous portions and the cinnamon bun was bigger than the plate! Be sure to stop in you won't be disappointed!

love this place, which is where you'll find me at least 2 sundays per month enjoying a great breakfast that holds me til dinner. Connie, the owner, pours love into every dish and constantly circles the room with a coffee pot and warm hello for her guests. Staff is great and knows how to hustle. Food is great, portions are... Three of us (2 adults and 1 ten year old) ordered a cinnamon roll and still had half of one to take home. It was good (not the best I ever had) but decent. I had the Popeye Omelet and it was large and fresh. The side potatoes were very good too. Breakfast is served with homemade toast which is... More

Huge cinnamon buns right at the entrance give a big clue. Friday lunch crowd was a great ad from the locals who were practically lining up to get a table. Excellent lunch and oatmeal cookies for the road (what diet?).

Great find along US 23 going north. The menu had lots of great options - it was hard to choose. We noticed the large homemade cinnamon rolls in the case up front and tried one of the Pumpkin Frosted rolls....Yum! It was so large, we took 1/2 of it to go to enjoy later. It's a place that will now... More

They need a bigger sign but the locals know where it's at. The restaurant is right on Hwy 23. The cooking is home cooking. I had the ham and cheese omelet with hash browns inside. I could hardly finish it. They also have homemade cinnamon bread and that can be used as your selection on type of toast. It's nice... More

Connie's was a recommended stop for lunch on our way up to Alpena, Michigan. The restaurant was clean and the staff very attentive. There was a longer wait than I normally would expect, but when you see locals attending and the restaurant is full, you know it's going to be good and we were not disappointed. I had probably the... We really enjoyed breakfast at Connie's Cafe. Service was fast and friendly, with a big breakfast menu. The grilled Pecan Cinnamon roll was literally the best one I've ever had. Such a good experience we ate breakfast there twice on our trip.

We'd heard lots of fuss about Connie's, so we went in on a Friday night instead of going up to Alpena. The food was okay. Not great. Just okay. The prices were a little high, we thought. The fish was NOT all you can eat the way it is at other places, and the burgers were average. The side dishes... More
