We had a late Sunday morning breakfast here. We were immediately greeted and seated. Our drink order was taken and came pretty quickly. We looked at our menus and the server took our order. The food cane out fairly quickly too. We got western omelette, corned beef hash and country fried steak. We all enjoyed our breakfast. It was very good. Would definitely eat here again.

Breakfast & lunch foods served from 6am-2pm Wednesday thru Sunday. Everything we tried was good. The dough god toast was especially tasty. There’s an attached bakery with a variety of Bavarian treats. The baklava was tasty.

My husband and I have gone here multiple times for breakfast. He usually gets the omelette that has gravy on the top (I think it’s the country omelette) and I usually get the biscuits and gravy. We both enjoy our meals (the gravy has lots of sausage in it!). They also give you a carafe if you order coffee, so you don’t have to ask a server for a refill all the time, which I like. If I get pancakes, I’ll order a bottle of maple syrup that they sell when I place my breakfast order, so that I can have real maple syrup on my pancakes- so much better than the fake high fructose corn syrup! Their peanut butter cookies from the bakery are really good too!

We fish a great deal on Lake Huron and always get a bakers dozen to go on the boat. When we have extra we put them in a zip lock and float them over to our friends who are fishing. I love the Fritters so much that I nominated them for best bakery in the M Live Contest. Wish them the best of luck as a family owned institution for many years.

The donuts we got this morning were terrible, not fresh at all! Spent $26 on a dozen donuts/bakery items, and couldn’t even finish one bite. We returned them and they only gave us a $12 refund. My family has been vacationing to Oscoda for 30+ years, and we used to love getting fresh bakery items every year from here. It’s a shame this place has gotten so bad. We went to the grocery store next door and got fresh, delicious donuts for $7!!

There are a lot of choices and we tried the sampler platter and basic eggs, meat and their specialty bread. The service was very good and like that we get our own pot of coffee. The baked goods are amazing too!! The sticky bun, cookies and muffin were delicious! I would recommend this place for breakfast!

Upon entering your senses see and smell the delicious home made bakery items. The dining area is in another room, which is large and spacious. The German meal I had was wonderful, very tasty and freshly prepared. The service was great. The only draw back is that they close early (around 3:00 pm).

Cinnamon apple pancakes were a big hit. Omelets were basic and good. Service was attentive, coffee decent and price was pretty cheap. Breakfast for two was about $15. There are a lot of yummy baked goods for purchase as well.

We were here for the Paul Bunyan festival. Awesome breakfast! My husband had the omelet. I had blueberry pancakes and sausage. Unlimited coffee. Would eat here again next time we’re in town

Went in at 12:30pm on a Thursday just to browse & purchase bakery. Not sure why but door was open & most of the building was dark. Bought German Farm bread (very good), cherry strudel (nothing special), peanut butter bars (poorly mixed), peanut butter cookies & molasses cookies ( both, very good). Unable to find hours of operation on web & none on the door that I could see.

The sign asks you to wait to be seated, however after a full 10 minutes of standing there (with no one else in line) the servers, hostess, cashier and bus people could not be bothered. Finally, we asked a (really grumpy) man at the donut counter if we could just grab a menu and seat ourselves? He said "No. Just wait. Everybody's busy." Then he proceeded to do absolutely nothing but stand behind the counter. We left hungry and we will not return. Mr. G's has a pleasant, professional staff, great food and they're right next door.
