This is one of my favorite places for a special occasion. It is a bit out of the way and doesn't have televisions so you can actually have a conversation. It has a nice wine list and many specials. The house soup is fantastic, and I love the chicken especial. In the fall if you catch it the upside down... More

The bread was best I've ever had! We ordered the perch and NY Sirloin. The steak was cooked perfectly and the perch was delicious. Both entrees came with mixed vegetables, choice of potato, salad and soup. We chose the crab soup. It was great. The entrees are pricey but they include a lot of food. Plus or server( in the bar.... This place is a little tricky to find, if you're not familiar with the local, Oscoda area. It's easy enough to get to, when you know where to look though. It's in downtown Oscoda (which is about the size of a postage stamp), and is located on Dwight Street, which is just east (toward Lake Huron) off of US-23. We... More

Had dinner with my wife last night at Tait's. Menu looked good, and the baked brie appetizer with slivered almonds and roasted garlic cloves lived up to expectations. So did the soup, a mixture of potato and black bean, which comes with the meal. A salad was also supposed to be included, but they forgot to bring it. My wife's... More

The Paul Bunyan sandwich is gigantic and very tasty. Clean and good variety of food. Good lunch spot for friends and family.

We came at 4:30 on Friday. The waitress was excellent. The young woman bussing however was far too aggressive asking if she could take our plates at least 3 times while we were still eating. It was not busy so not sure what the rush was. A definite damper to an otherwise excellent experience.

Good food. Good service. Pleasant ambience. Manager stopped by our table to see if things were to our liking. Better quality restaurant in the area. Good Value.

We had lunch here on a rainy weekday. The service was friendly and efficient. The tomato soup of the day was excellent. We were told that it was made from scratch, starting with actual tomatoes. BLT was perfect: crispy bacon, good tomato and just the right amount of mayo on toast. It sounds simple but it takes a excellent kitchen... More

Some of our party had the Millennium soup while my wife had the Cream of Crab (real crab!) soups. all were excellent. I had the special of the day - about 4 kinds of meat, served hot on a Hoagie bun. Excellent! Our waiter was the owner, and he was excellent. 17 years in business, he told us! In summary:... More
