The pastrami sandwich had chewy, spicy, dry something on it, but NOT the pastrami I'd enjoyed for many years in the past. The cheese blintz I ordered to go was dripping with grease and filled with something mostly brown, not cheese. And this was not a cheap meal. The sandwich alone was $12. Yes, it was big, but who cares... More

I have been eating here for over 25 years. No one comes close to their corned beef and pastrami sandwiches. They are so big it is nearly impossible to eat a whole one yourself. Thank god they started offering a mini sandwich a few years ago. Don't be fooled by the mini name, you still must eat like a pig... More

As a long time deli worker, corned beef is near and dear to my heart. In my opinion(and on deli food I AM an expert), the Bread Basket is the best in SE Michigan...maybe the world! OK, maybe not the world! I don't want to hear about the overpriced Zingerman's in Ann Arbor(good, but costly), Star Deli in Southfield(not bad),... More

The cornbeef sandwiches in the past were much better than the ones my sister and I ordered in January. Not only were the sandwiches just mediocre, but the cost was $2 more. We are going to give them a break for awhile.

I have been eating here for many years. If you like traditional deli you cant go wrong. The corned beef , pastrami, Potato salad, etc are as good as you will get. The twice baked rye is awesome. The decor is worn out deli, Just like you want it. Love this place.

Food is good just like you would expect in a traditional deli. Lots of food for the money. The decor is dated and could use sprucing up.

Authentic Jewish corned beef made from brisket. So good, as is the rye bread, coleslaw and potato salad. Whether dining in or carrying out, the food is always spectacular.

I use to eat here when I lived in the area, and was anxious to return. I had a pastrami sandwich which was good, but not as tall as in the past, and the bread was authentic Jewish-style, but the slices seemed thin, the meat was tasty. And, the potato pancake was awful. It was so dark brown, I had... More
