This place is allways known as the best Japanese restaurant in Novi, MI. but I would say it might be the best one in america... Really small place and so many customers are there so you may need to line up sometimes... 30 minutes or so... but their sushi and udon are very best.. tasty and cheap!!! Look at the... More

Sushi was great and very authentic. You can tell when a Japanese restaurant is good when you see it full if Japanese patrons. The only weird thing is that they didn't serve beer which in my opinion complements the sushi. However, it was worth going.

This was the best sushi lunch I have ever had. My noodle soup, and nigiri, the sushi rolls were so good that I wanted to return the next day.

Small place. Not much ambiance. It's always very busy. The food is consistent and always good. I love the soup noodle bowls.

This is my new favourite Japanese restaurant in Michigan. My girlfriend and I are big sushi lovers and Ajishin has excellent and authentic sushi. The udon soup is one of the highlights of the restaurant--It's filling and delicious. The customers are 80% Japanese, which I take as a great sign of authenticity. The prices are also reasonable, which is a... More

A month ago I was spending a work week in Japan and I would put this restaurant right up against the best ones I experienced in Tokyo. Low key setting but the food was outstanding. Little surprise the restaurant was filled with Japanese customers. Particularly like the shrimp tempura roll

This place has THE best sushi. Generous portions of spectacular fish. AND their curry udon might be my desert island meal.

We arrived there at 11:25 am on Monday, there were about 30 people waiting on the line. We got seating without waiting, but services were a little slow. This is a busy Japanese restaurant without any alcohol drinks. We ordered Sushi Lunch Large. It was good and only $12. I hope they will have beer or sake soon. I really... More

Apparently, due to the high number of Japanese nationals living and working for the Japanese auto companies in southern MI, it has provided a strong and discerning market for high-quality Japanese food. I had their signature "Ajishin" udon noodle soup bowl, and it was absolutely outstanding, equal to anything I've had in SF, Los Angeles or NYC. Novi isn't exactly... More
