About
Garage... is a dining experience on Main Street at the corner of Wing Street in historic downtown Northville, Michigan. The menu is as classic as the circa 1940 service station that is home to Garage.Respectful of the past and stylish by today's trends, the restaurant, the bar and outdoor cafe are visually exciting with great views of the town. An important feature of Garage is the Banquet Room, an 80 seat private room which has a view of an impeccably restored 1930 Ford Model A car that creates part of the overall banquet experience.

Had a good lunch with my friend. It’s pretty cool that it’s actually a garage your sitting in eating. Bloody Mary was good and so was the food. Service was good he was berry attentive. It was busy but the sound level was not to...high.I will for sure be back another lunch break.More

I have eaten there 4-5 times and the food is fine. Nothing to write home about. I do enjoy the outdoor patio seating in the summer....decent happy hour.

Had lunch with a friend at the Garage Grill while visiting from out of town. It is situated in downtown Northville in a completely repurposed 1940s era gas station. How cute is that!! The food was very good. My friend had a burger (which she...swears by) and I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich (korean barbecue sauce/kewpie mayo/sesame slaw/bread-n-butter pickles/fries) which was scrumptious. Menu had a lot of interesting choices. Prices were very reasonable considering the quantity and quality of the food. Our waiter, Nathan, was beyond excellent. Efficient, friendly and interesting, he took good care of us without hovering. Can't wait to go back.More

My wife and I were out shopping on a Saturday evening after Thanksgiving. Drove to Northville and decided on the Garage Grill. It was early, (5:30), and were seated immediately. I had one of the specials, halibut served over a jumbo lump crab fried rice...with haricot verts and a citrus beurre blanc. It went well with a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Thumbs up! My wife had the pizza which was also quite good. People around us had huge mussels appetizers, scallops & large salads which looked wonderful as well. Our servings were quite filling & we took some of the pizza home. No room for dessert. We will return.More

Walked in after 5:00 pm and plenty of open tables. Hostess asks me if I mind sitting at a high top??? I said yes, I do mind, why can't I sit at one of the many tables open?? Ordered a spinach salad which came with...sherry vinaigtrette dressing. I am not sure if the waitress was distracted, did not hear me or what...I asked for my dressing on the side. I get ranch dressing delivered to me. To be nice, I did not say anything. Next, I ordered tacos and said Achiote on the side, no Habanero salsa and no pickled onions. You guessed it, my tacos were covered in Habanero sauce. This time, I reminded the waitress I said no Habanero sauce. She did bring me a whole new meal. This time, all the sauces were in little cups, even the Habeanero sauce, which , by this point, I had stated several times I did not want. The staff was acting like it was my mistake and I did not know what I wanted. The Garage still serves this tiny, hard white rice, just like they did last year, on my only visit there. Maybe if a I wait another year, things will improve.......More

The garage fuel bar tries so hard to be that cool chic trendy place that all the upscale people want to eat that would be typical of a eatery in Downtown Birmingham or Royal Oak. They got our food order right - delicious taste that...hit the spot for us. Soup could have been a bit hotter and wish that the shrimp appetizer was a bit larger for some more people to share. Prices are a higher like some people have pointed out - but this is no Coney Island like down the street... Service is great, seating is nice and car and automobile memorials/ memorabilia is expansive. They have old gasoline refueling station pumps inside. Would be a great spot for large party...More

Nothing special here, incredibly overpriced. Wait staff not knowledgeable about the menu. Both drink and food prices way too high. Meh.

For anyone looking for an excellent casual meal in the greater Northville area, you should definitely consider the Garage Grill. - Excellent Pizzas which easily could be split between two. - A dead-on Kids menu (Mini Burgers, Chicken Fingers, Cheese Pizza) which eliminates concerns about...finding something for the kids. - A creative, casual setting, with strong service. My only disappointment is that it is located in Northville, and we have nothing like it where we live. Give it a try if you are in the area!More

Plenty of parking on Main Street, city parking lot directly across the street to the east and some parking adjacent to the restaurant. Parking is not an issue!
