The ribs were great.. the bread to die for but the “loaded potato” was terrible. I can’t blame the cook the potato was chalk dry, even a tablespoon of butter couldn’t make it eatable.. I think it was a very old potato and that’s a buyer/supplier issue.
BTW: I ordered a “twice baked” potato but the waitress and apparently the cook didn’t know what that is.
The wait staff is friendly, competent and attentive. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is welcoming and well lit with so many windows offering a great view.
We have eaten here before and will return again and again.

Such great food. The hot roast beef wa very good seemed to have great potatoes. My French Dip type sandwich was superb. Clean restaurant. We can not wait to come back.

Dinner with friends was delightful, despite Covid-19. All staff wore masks and tables were appropriately spaced for safety. Our dinner (fajitas and the sampler) were excellent, as was the service.

One of the worst dining experiences of my life. Went there with son for 1st time and was moderately busy. I knew I was in for trouble when it took nearly 15 minutes just for my 1st drink to arrive. After ordering could not get waitresses attention multiple times unless I followed her at full speed shouting at her down hallway. Onion rings for appetizer were overdone and nearly burnt and sent back. From then on I could tell they had a “tude”. Ordered ribeye steak rare which was supposed to be their best and it arrived well over an hour later and was tough & grissly, which was no surprise being only 1/4 inch thick. To order rare, the fat doesn’t even get a chance to emulsify at that thickness and is like an uncooked steak. I’ve had some bad steaks before, but this wasn’t even edible. I sent back & waitress never even asked me if I wanted something else. She just disappeared. Finally went to manager and complained about not being asked and her reply was “Well we didn’t, because it appears nothing will satisfy.you”. I was absolutely livid. Then to add insult to injury they overcharged me for 2 drinks and the asparagus which was only thing edible they couldn’t screw up. Left hungry, and a bad headache from not eating after having drinks and mad as hell. Avoid this place at all costs!!

The Hot Beef Sandwich was unbelievable. Top quality everything! This is now our favorite Hot Beef Sandwich of all times.
The French Dip was to die for. I ordered a whole and couldn't even finish 1/2. This so good, you couldn't have made it any better and the french fries were perfect! The house salad was very big as well and fresh ingredients in everything we ordered. Kudos, we cant wait to come back.

Whoever made the decision to change the opening time from 11am to noon...made a very bad decision.
Twice in the last two weeks I have been there around 11:30 am and there are multiple cars in the lot....and they are all leaving because it's not open.
If you need to shorten the hours....it should be done on the closing time.

We went here for lunch. The place is very spacious and nice with inside and outside seating. There was a separate family dining on one side and a large Bar Area with pool tables and TVs. We had the Pike Perch with salad and curly fries and a chicken wrap. Both very good. The perch breading was light and seasoned well. Would definitely eat here again. Staff very friendly 😃

If there is a shift change and you have been getting the daily special the new server will serve you food and drinks that are no longer part of the special and then tell you it's your fault for not having ask for the specials.

We went to Thanksgiving Dinner at the N.T.B.&G. and as always it was wonderful! We were returning from a 3 day Casino trip in Manistee and KNEW we could trust them for a very good Holiday Menu. We were right for picking this trusted place! The food is ALWAYS the CHEF'S PRIDE, and we were THANKFUL for choosing them! Bonnie H.

Yesterday, we had one of the BEST late lunches ! Tara ws there whom we are always so pleased to see and she makes a GREAT Manhatan and Tom has a HUGE draft beer.
I was hungry for Pasta with Maranara Sauce and their great beef burger so the Chef made a special dish just for me! It was SUPER! WOW! The royal treatment we always recieve there is SO Wonderful! Thanks again Northern Trails, You guys just ROCK! Bless you, Bonnie House
P.S.- Tom had a awesome Hot beef Sandwich!

Spur of the moment dinner out... let's try a place we've not been to.. Quite a few cars in parking lot for the middle of the week... okay, this should be good... so we thought.
Service was good; food was not. There was no taste to our meals (fish, onion rings, fish & fries. The coleslaw was 'gray' - literally GRAY and had off taste.
We have had better food at the dorm cafeterias in college...

Opens at noon on Sundays. Friendly wait staff that knows their job, homemade ginger ale, soups. Bar seating, dining room, outdoor deck. Loved the French dip (added onions, green peppers for extra$), Jack Daniel's burger, Sleeping Cow salad, and soup. Enjoyed new ideas for salads. We'll be back.

My wife and I decided to go to Northern Trails for dinner. The bar area was much busier then the dining room, and that was evident from the attention we received. Goulash was good, as was the fish and chips. Nothing spectacular, just okay.
