Great attentive service, very patient as we unexpectedly ran into old friends and got caught up. Food came out quickly and accurately. Burger was good, homemade (and made-to-order) had plenty of spice.

I have been going here since I was a kid. Once maybe twice a year. Now that I have children we go as much as we can. The atmosphere is great and the food is outta this world!

Been coming here a couple of times a year for 50 years. I used to even drive in from Chicago just to get a burger and hang out at the lake. Today I would agree with some of the other reviews in that the burger seemed overdone and not as flavorful as I remember from the past. Had the sweet... More

We found the burgers to be dry and bland. They needed lots of mayo just to get them down. We don't know if the velvetta cheese they are famous for makes a difference, but we don't eat that. We were baffled at how dry and bland these burgers were. The pickles were good. We will never go back. We wanted... More

We met family there on a Wednesday afternoon. We got there before they open at noon and there were a lot of people waiting outside for the doors to open. The burgers were very tasty and reasonably priced.

It is hamburgers, average, nothing exceptional. Will probably not go back again. I think the draw is they are open only in the summer.

We always make a stop here when visiting. Great burger's and sandwiches. Simple fare but tasty. Can't go wrong with a cheeseburger

My.wife and I stopped here for lunch. We just wanted to try the burgers, nothing fancy. We got a seat in the Patio Room immediately. Our server was polite with smiles. My wife ordered a cheesburger, I ordered the larger version of Velveeta Burger. Both came with our choice of toppings and fries. The burgers and fries were hot and... More

I hadn't been here in years but then went twice this summer. The first time I had relatives visiting Chicago from Ireland. I wanted to get them out of the city so we drove to New Buffalo via I-94, had lunch at Redamak's then meandered back on Hwy 12 through Michigan City. The burgers were a hit as was the... More

During the season you will need to wait in a long line to get in. Parking is difficult despite the apparently ample parking. The burgers and fries are the real deal. The health police would shut this place down in a heart beat, if you had one after the burger and fries. It could be a saloon, instead it is... More
