we had twice dinner in this restaurant. once (the menu du terroir) was very good and definitively value for money the second dinner (bit more expensive) was excellent for those of us who had ordered meat, but the turbot fish was a bit of a disappointment but overall excellent restaurant

Extensive a la carte menu and generous prix fixe menus plus children's menu with plenty of variety. Lovely dining room for residents and separate restaurant for visiting diners. Lots of parking space, pretty courtyard with tables for aperitifs and digestifs. Friendly attentive unfussy service.

Elegant dining experience in a historic frame. We dined here for two nights and the quality and the level of the cooking was well worth the price. All dishes were delicious and beautifully arranged. The service was friendly and attentive - one of our waiters was witty and charming - joking with our daughters. A relaxed atmosphere in a place... More

Look no further - this place has everything except for bustling evening life in which case go to Bayeux or Caen. For a calm stay in the French countryside with delicious food and very friendly service, this is the place. Wonderful rooms. It is rightly very popular so book early.

We were staying at Le Manoir de Mathan and ate at this sister hotel/restaurant. We had a long wait before our order was taken and the young waiter seemed to struggle with explanations of the menu and wines. There seemed to be no outside dining area though it was a lovely evening. The food did arrive quite quickly after that... More

We booked dinner at La Ranconniere all 5 nights we stayed at the adjoining property. The food was very good and the staff was very attentive. I would recommend this for anyone staying at the properties.

Love, Love Love the hotel that is the host of this restaurant. Can't say enough! After arriving late, in this small town, we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. It is true French fine dining. three and 4 course fixed price menus with items you may (or may not) be familiar with. The service was fine except the waiter... More

Arriving late, having traveled over to Calais from London on the Eurostar, picking up our rental-car in Calais and dropping someone off in Deauville in route; despite the hour our host accommodated our desire [need] for a late evening meal. Though the few other diners in the restaurant that still remained were all finishing their meals, most appearing to be... More

This is an exceptional restaurant, with local, fresh ingredients and wonderful ambiance. For our 2 dinners here I enjoyed duck and lamb dishes which were great, but the appetizers, sides and desserts were memorable. Calvados with sorbet inbetween. There are few who will be lucky enough to visit unassuming Crepon and it's extraordinary beauty and history; if you find yourself... More
