Red Rooster Tavern is a quaint little tavern in the woods in Muskegon Michigan. Friendly place, good food and they have a group of local musicians that move through the place playing and singing for the crowd. They take requests and have a very large...More

Good people. Good food. Good music. What more do you need from a small pub set in the woods near Lake Michigan? Say hi to Amanda and tell her Rich and Jen sent you.

The Rooster has changed hands so many times it seems bipolar. Several owners ago the chef was a graduate of a culinary school and some of the food was outstanding. The original bar was smaller and offered typical bar food and "red hots" and nuts....More

Disappointing. Meat Loaf Sandwich was ok. Nachos were short on cheese and mediocre at best. Didn't care for the Rooster Balls or Onion Rings. Drinks were weak. Head "into town" for better food.

Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday and we both had sandwiches. The food was average, but it was a pretty drive out in the country. The service was good. DO NOT miss the home made potato chips. The bloody mary's looked great, but did...More

First off, I am a local and have known this place for many years, through a couple different owners. The Rooster has always been a nice little place that is off the beaten path. Worth the stop for a beer but there are better dining...More

Super friendly, recommended to me, establishment that certainly delivered. I could tell you about the tasty burger I had, or the delicious salad, maybe the awesome cider and the brilliant, regular music. But I think more than all of that great stuff, it was the...More

Stopped by during our road trip. We had chicken burrito and the famous Jack Daniels Burger. The burrito was huge, too big for my girlfriend to eat alone on herself. Tasted great and fresh. I had the Jack Daniels Burger. It was delicious and very...More
