Visited for dinner a few days ago. Booked a table at short notice and we were lucky to get in as the restaurant was subsequently full - only about ten tables. Husband cooks expertly and his wife is the only waitress - completely unflappable, even in the event of a power cut! So many delicious options on the menu, all... More

Excellent food, excellent hostess, excellent setting and decorations, and a very likeable chef, we were made to feel at home in this small but cosy restaurant in the beautiful town of Kaysersberg. I can't wait to go back there again.

Lovely proper homecooked french food, super fresh and served by a really nice hostess/owner! We went back twice in our 3 day stay, licked the plates clean and would recommend it to Gordon Ramsey himself! Xxxx

Le Moréote is as cosy as it gets. Maybe 12-15 people may in the small but lovely dining room catered by the cheerful and passionate landlady while her husband deals solo in the kitchen. As such the single dinner service needs to be somehow synchronized so you will kindly asked to show up around 8pm...we weere 30mon late though and... More

We were the only people dining in this very special restaurant in Kaysersberg and were treated to an evening of perfect food, fine Alsacian wines through the expert knowledge of our hostess and a general feeling of being thoroughly spoilt. - and all at a very reasonable price. Booking is essential, but don't be tempted to pass by this little... More

We spent 2 evenings in Kayserberg and went to Le Moreote on the first night. It is a super cosy restaurant with absolutely wonderful food cooked by the owner. The service by Catherine is very special and you are made to feel like royalty! We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Needless to say, we went back the following night... More

Loved this restaurant! We went here on our final night in kaserberg and the food was excellent! We really loved the selection and it's typically French feel! The duck was sublime! Worth knowing you need a reservation for here or even if there are tables you will not be able to eat here - we saw three groups being turned... More

The service was competent and enthusiastic throughout our meal. We ordered a la carte and were glad because the meals were surprisingly generous. Before the meal we were served not one but 2 delicious amuse bouche. For our meals we especially loved the appetizer of scallops & foie gras, and the dessert, but all the meals were superb. Quite a... More

Like people say, it feels homey. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is nice. It is slightly pricey though so bear in mind.

We have been coming regularly to Alsace for almost 40 years. In all that time Kaysersberg has never failed to both please and disappoint. It pleases because it is so very attractive but disappoints because it so continuously undersells itself with far too many shops selling tourist tat dominating the main street. But a few folk do raise the standard... More
