The food was good even if the menu was neither unusual nor diverse. We enjoyed watching the locals - it's clear that everyone on Vis knows everyone else - a very attentive, family-style place.

The restaurant is in a nice setting at the end of the Vis town quay. Wait staff are very friendly. Food was excellent. Fresh Scorpion fish was delicious.

I have visited Konoba Kantun several times as a part of my job. It is a charming little restaurant focusing on the local cuisine, they only serve what is produced on the island of Vis or its closest neighbours. This means that the menu is limited to Croatian food and wine (they do not serve neither soft drinks nor beer),... More

Despite the fact we have been going to Vis for many years we had somehow failed to eat here until last week. A summer storm meant we had to eat inside which was no loss as it was delightful. First course was anchovies and sardines, simple and very good. Lamb chops on the wood grill were really excellent as was... More

Van highly recommend this place. We had excellent fresh fish and lamb. Good quality and reasonable prices. Good wines, friendly staff, but they don't serve beer 😎

Visited here with a group of 17. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Meals were delicious and represented traditional Croatian home cooking. We sat out the back with two big tables and they coped very well with the size of our group- most places here have been hopeless. Would 100% go back! The lamb and cuttlefish risotto are delicious... We were recommended to go by a local and were absolutely blown away by the professional staff in the front of house and the quality of the food. The waiters were very knowledgeable with the wines and kept our glasses topped up as we enjoyed 2 of the best local reds they had on offer with lamb and sides. Cannot... More

Very friendly staff who were more than happy to advise us with wine and food choices. Catch of the day was delicious as was the local wine. Reasonably priced. Can't recommend them enough.

It has been 10 months since our visit to Kantun, and we still talk about the fantastic experience we had. Not only the best meal we had on Vis, but one of the best meals we had in our lives. Everything about the evening was spectacular; a table for 6 in the candlelit garden, incredible service, amazing food, and stellar... More
