Great waiter, fresh seafood, good local wine, perfect! Unpretentious honest Vis fare. Highly recommended.

We were in a big group. The menu choice was varied but concentrated on fresh fish and vegetables. A few in our group were vegetarians but they too were properly fed. The food is generally cooked on a large open grill and it is amazing that all the different foods and their varying sizes/thicknesses were cooked to perfection. Compliments to... More

We had a lovely meal in Kantun during our stay in Vis. We were presented with a plate of freshly caught fish and explained what fish (first or second class) was served that evening. The restaurant only serves wine, many of which are local. Fish is served grilled which gives it a fantastic smoky flavour prepared on an impressive grill... More

We were looking forward to eating at this restaurant so booked ahead... we were greeted by the owner who from the very start was pushy, arrogant and made us feel anxious. Another table close to us had cancelled their reservation in person which did not go down with the host who nearly ran them out of the restaurant. We had... More

We met our restaurant host (Carlo) whilst trying to find our villa and he recommended eating at Konoba Kantun. We did not regret taking his recommendation. My partner had the stewed beef in wine with gnocchi and a salad. It was slow cooked and tender in a beautiful rich sauce. I had the artichoke with peas which was gorgeous. We... More

We loved loved loved this restaurant. Lovely old building with a traditional large open fire charcole grill. We had tuna and hake pate on garlic bread as a complimentary appetizer. We shared octopus goulash for our starter. For our main we shared monk fish steak and squid all grilled on the open fire with a side of grilled veg. All... More

in a great spot if you came by boat very fair prices, great choice of seafood, but also meat dishes the only restaurant that has white fish (high quality) in two price ranges - very pleasant surprise we had local cheese and pršut for starters, then octopus, some grilled fish and lamb chops. thumbs up! and great choice of wine.

At the end of the marina, nice outside tables overlooking the boat. The fish was excellent. For kids they have only orange juice lemon juice and ice tee, no other fizzy drinks. Been there twice and always tried to "sell" us the 6kg fish for 4 people.

We had a fantastic experience at Kantun. We tried to book as soon as we got to Vis and we only got a table a couple of days later so make sure you book in advance. Carlo and the other waiters were extremely friendly and very helpful when it comes to ordering. We wanted fresh fish and they bring a... More

Very good service, our guy was really outgoing and making good jokes. Food was very good and the atmosphere on the seaside is enjoyable!
