After reading the ratings in guidebooks, we were disappointing by overcooked and tough steak and chewy prawns.

This Restaurant is in a lovely setting, however the food was a tad disappointing. My steak was really chewy and the other dish of prawn and bacon skewers we over cooked. The accompanying dishes were grilled potato which were slightly under cooked. We were recommended this Restaurant so perhaps we had higher expectations.

We ate here for a more relaxing dinner. The atmosphere is relaxing with a fountain in the middle (great for pictures). The waiter was not good in English - we pointed to our meals on the menu. Food was very good.

Rather expensive restaurant specialising in meat dishes. We wanted to order a steak but they didn't have one so we went for mixed starter, calmari and some ribs. We got a free soup, which was a pleasent surprise. Food was just ok but not worth the money we paid compared to local standards.

We ordered the Asado para dos - a lot of variety of meats and couple of tostones included. Reasonable price coming from the US, but not sure if reasonable for locals. Overall - good, but not amazing meats.

Confusing to rate because it seems it is trying to do American food in nicaragua. So for food, if rated for American, it would likely get a 2, but for Nicaragua for an American who is stuck in their AMerican ways it, it could be rated way higher as the typical American might feel more comfortable here. There are tacos... More

The bar area is somewhat off-putting when one first enters - ie loud TV, excessive aircon, and the atmosphere of a cheap hen party. The restaurant proper, however, is situated around a pleasant courtyard. We had a good meal which included some fine-quality steak dishes.

We ate here as part of a shore excursion from Corinto. This restaurant is very pleasant as it has a very nice courtyard and nice washroom facilities. The food was good and the service was excellent. We all enjoyed the lunch here and would recommend it to others that are visiting Leon Nicaragua.

We went to Al Carbon for our Valentine's Day dinner because it was recommended as a fine dining establishment for traditional Nicaraguan food. Unfortunately, for Valentine's Day the menu was limited to two choices and the meal wasn't anything special. We ate better, for less money elsewhere during our visit to Leon. With that said, the service was excellent. The... More
