Food was very disappointing here, we ordered two veggie dishes and one came out cold. Underwhelming and more than double the price of other places we have eaten - you are paying for the location. A nice spot for some drinks on the beach but I would not bother with food here again.

We visited the restaurant around lunchtime and had a meal there. The spot was very pretty & we loved the swinging tables & seats.
Unfortunately the seafood consumed there upset my stomach so as much as the place is beautiful I would recommend being careful with what you choose to eat there.
The staff was very friend and the atmosphere was great.

We stopped by Fernando's in March 2022 for a few beers on the swings. It is very much open and serving food and beers. This was lunchtime but we could see later on in the evening the lights were on and music playing after 9pm. Unfortunately toilets are under renovation at the time so there was a less then desirable option available. Staff all attentive and welcoming. Only gave 3 stars as toilets are not good and limited drinks menu, as with most bars on this beach.

We came here for lunch and was the worst experience in 3 week's travel. Chicken grilled with mashed potatoes and salad and came with only with fried chips and you should see the chicken (pity I didn't take a picture). Bad service with European prices and the worst was a cat jumping into our plate so not finishing it and of course nothing done by the place. Don't eat here!!

Place to be in Trincomalee! To hang out on the beach, have drinks en nice food (good burgers!). Good music and a great staff who are very helpfull. Despite the cornona lock down they did their very best to keep the mood positive and help everybody with whatever they needed. Had a great time at fernando's.

For something different to standard Sri Lankan cuisine, you can get some different choices of food here. Yes it’s overpriced for Sri Lanka but it’s tasty and fresh. All western food in this beach complex is expensive compared to the rest of Sri Lanka but you have a nice setting on the beach to look at.

8.61363°, 81.21803° You don’t have to leave this top-rated beach bar in Uppuveli and many evenings seem to start and end here. They offer an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and all kinds of drinks deep into the night. Totally focused on foreign tourists, prices are high. Out of season, there are no DJ nights. Café on the 18th is part of Fernando’s.
From the blackboard menu, we chose in March 2024 the fish. It was perfectly grilled with potatoes and salad. Nice fresh fish with good flavour. We enjoyed our dinner at a table on the beach. The next day, we returned from snorkelling and had nice lunch at Fernando’s.
For well healed tourists, Fernando’s Beach Bar is the beach bar in Uppuveli. Recommended.

This bar is probably he busiest we were in at Trinco and it had a good party atmosphere as well as some really good food. Its great to sit at the loungers here and have a few drinks and take it all in. The pizza was excellent and the service was good too.

Spent 3 days in Trinco and came here a few times. Can’t beat the location right on the beach. The Pizza was absolutely delicious as were the BBQ Prawns we had for lunch one day. Great place to stop for a cold beer after walking the beach too. Toilets were pretty good and we loved that they had a shower on the beach for rinsing off the sand.
Highly recommend.

Very poor service. At 8pm in the evening there was a shortage of shrimps. Ridiculous for a seaside place. The Chinese place did not have a credit card service. Also ridiculous for a tourist place. Added to everything the place didn't accept my cash as the 5k note had a minute tear in it. Needless to say the taste of the dish was appalling.

The best hangout spot in Trinco! Came here for multiple times during my stay and absolutely love this place. Definitely a must visit if you're in Trincomalee or surroundings. The owner and the staff are all amazing — everyone is so helpful and friendly and make you feel like home. Can't wait to come back!

The beach bar with Japanese and Mexico food items was fantastic! The variety of dishes from around the world made it a culinary delight. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a diverse menu with a view.

We absolutely loved Fernando’s, we visited every day for lunch on our visit to Trincomalee. Pizza, tacos and dumplings are all amazing and really great value. The staff were so friendly. Highly recommend the passion fruit mojitos, delicious

Hyped place. I know there was curfew, powercuts etc. But we had ribs with almost no meat. They forgot our fries with it. After we were more hungry so we ordered a veg taco. It only had (raw) carrot and cabbage lol. Too expensive. Atmosphere at the beach is great.

Fernandos is on the beach in a great location. Its a great place to sit and watch the world go by. They serve a wide range of drinks and the meal we had there was good. The staff are attentive and looked after us.
I would recommend a visit.
