This resturant is a good place for BBQ in the real Korean style. Beef ribs taste juicy & tender. And the waitress helped us BBQ the ribs u til we finished. Recommended to visitors after hiking along the Hwaseong Fortress.

We decided to try this place after it being highly recommended in Lonely Planet but the signature dish, galbitang, was not served for lunch. That would've been fine but the staff did not make us feel welcome at all and almost would not let me have the salt shaker because they wanted to clear it. Korea has the best customer... More

Loved the Galbi. Easy to order and very fast service at reasonable prices. A great place to eat and take a break while visiting the fortress.

I agree with all the good reviews for this restaurant. My husband and I order the Galbi Set Menu which comes with lots of side dishes including a miso-based tofu soup/stew, a number of banchan to be wrapped in lettuce with, of course, the galbi that was cooked at the table. The galbi portion was not particularly large but sufficient... More

Great experience in Korean food. Excellent service (quick, attentative) but almost no English. The menu includes English "names" but you may not know what they actually mean (and there are no pictures to make to choice simpler). The food, however, is delicious and there is a lot of it. If you want to try Korean food, there is hardly a... More

When you arrive ask for a table on the ondol floor next to the window because the view on the fortress is a nice scenery to try galbitang ! I wasn't very impressed by galbitang but it is nice to eat. Nobody could speak English but the women there were very nice and helpful as long as you great them... More

This is a BBQ place, I traveled alone and had to order about portions for 2 (about US$48) for the marinated beef. I was there at 2pm so it was only half full (cause I figured they would probably have more willingness to service a single customer) I have not tried much BBQ in Seoul but the food and variety... Located near the fortress wall where the Hwahongmun Gate (northern water gate) is, we followed the scent of grilled meat and found ourselves in front of this restaurant. Seeing a queue, we figured this was the place to have a meal. Do note that there is no English menu. Sign and pointing language is extremely important here. We just pointed... More

N37°17.259' E127.01.003' Suwon is famous for a local variety, whereby the regular meat dish is given a salty seasoning. In a quiet area next to the northern water gate in the fortress wall lies Yeonpo Galbi, known for its galbi meat. Galbi meat is rather expensive and the jeongsik (set menu), which include several small fish, vegetable and gimchi dishes,... More
