About
We use authentic delicious western food to empower the local community. Food you're craving from home with a combination of fresh local ingredients and imported specials such as real cheese, bacon, olives from our nearest supermarket 7 hours and an international border crossing away. We have woodfired pizzas, Italian pastas and risottos, big breakfasts, awesome sandwiches, real espresso and top notch cocktails. All our staff are local ethnic minority people with no prior English language, food preparation or customer service skills. They come to work with us to learn English and how to work in the hospitality industry. Our profit is donated to the Luang Namtha Books In Schools program to increase

We had a quick lunch at Bamboo lounge just after we got to Louang Namtha. Great concept they have of creating opportunity to train and employ staff from surrounding villages. Also they have produced an excellent guide to Louang Namtha that you can download on-line....More

My wife and I had a serious pizza craving after a 3 day jungle trek. The pizza surely hit the spot and was about the best you might hope for in the middle of nowhere.

The Luang Namtha pizza with the local sausage, homemade tomato sauce and cheese, is to die for at 80,000 kip, good for 2 persons, if you're not starving, lol. I also prefer thin crust which they did perfectly.

We ended up here by chance due to a big rainstorm, ducked in for lunch out of the rain. The burritos were pretty tasty. The home made tortillas made them good, otherwise they would have been nothing special. Would have ordered pizza but only serve...More

We ordered Pesto Pasta and we got something that tasted like green curry pasta. Also, the pizza was really thin, almost without cheese. Not a good value for the money we spent. Would not recommend.

Came here as recommended by lonely planet. Heading out for a trek the next day so needed to carb up a bit. Ordered the vegetarian carbonara, it was lumps of scrambled egg mixed with plain pasta and boiled broccoli. No creamy sauce to speak of....More

They have an actual pizza oven and it showed. Pizza tasted like pizza (vs most places its just baked bread with sauce and cheese). Drinks were expensive in my view, given local prices. Service was just ok. Downstairs is set up mostly like a coffee...More
