I was visiting Monroe, MI recently and asked the hotel where a good place was to eat. They immediately said Pete's Garage. They were right I had the lunch special which was a Philly Cheese Steak and it was great. A side of fries and a dill pickle accompanied the meal. Overall a great meal in a unique atmosphere.

Great food, great service, and the best wings in the whole of Monroe County! Pete's is locally owned and they take pride in always treating people right - whether you are a regular or just passing through. Their pizza is also great and so is their turkey rueben. Very accommodating and clean.

This is really the go too restaurant in Monroe. You get a lot of food for a reasonable price. Almost everything is good. Service is hit or miss, sometimes it is loud (it is a sports bar), but I have never walked away disappointed with the food.

We were camping close by and stumbled into here for lunch, well needles to say we eat dinner here 2 out of the 4 nights we were camping. Food is amazing and great portions. All of the staff was very friendly. This is a place that I would go to if we had company from out of town. Diners, Drive-Ins... More

After golf you build up an appetite and our visit this time just didn't cut it. Slow slow service and inaccurate order was annoying enough, but then the food was overcooked and bland. Been here many times before but this one will keep me away a while

A great place to bring your family especially if you have little ones. They will enjoy dining in a old 57 Chevy , yes a there are a few cars that have been converted into booths. There sandwiches are very good here

After driving past this place for a long time, my wife and I decided to stop in for lunch, and am I glad we did! I had a Rueben, which was fantastic, my wife had the quesadilla salad and she said it also was excellent. However, the absolute best item was their mushroom soup!! It was out of this world!!... Went here for lunch. Good menu selection. Great waitress. Great beer. My only complaint is that the hamburgers are too large--1/2 lb. I ordered fish instead.

We vacation in Monroe every summer at the lake, and have wanted to try Pete's for a few years and never got around to it. So very glad we did! The service was outstanding. They seated us at a flattop table at first, but my wife wanted to sit in one of the old car booths that they feature. The... More
