My first trip to Michigan so I spent several hours researching lunch places close to the State Line. This location had a 3,5 star rating so I thought it would a good choice. It is barely a two and I'm being generous. The hostess never greeted us but just said a table for two. No smile - no persanality. Acted... More

Not sure of all the positive reviews, maybe just small town hype because there are not many choices. We stopped for dinner on our way back from Cedar Point and were very disappointed. First of all, we chose the calamari for appetizer and it was the worst we have ever had. It was not fresh and was obviously pulled out... More

If you'll be in Monroe, I would say the Harbor Inn is a must. I wouldn't rate it a 4 star in a major city but for this little town, they have great local fare and each time we've been, awesome live music. It's entertaining, you can try frog legs, and overall was great for socializing with friends.

I once again went into Harbor Inn with my family for dinner. The meals are never disappointing. My wife had an alligator dish and I the perch. Cannot beat the craft beer selection. Highly recommend Harbor Inn to all my friends and co-workers

We were seated promptly, and given quick service. Ordered a appetizer of onion rings, we loved them, homemade with a thousand island dipping sauce and a generous portion. My wife ordered a perch sandwich , another generous portion served on a hogie bun with house chips, she enjoyed the meal. I had the rueben, really good large sandwich with fries... More

The staff was very friendly and helpful on ordering. We shared the appetizer combo and shrimp risotto entree. Way more than food than both of us could eat. They have an outside patio area that was nice and even had live entertainment. We went on a Saturday night so, it was packed. We chose to eat at the bar but,... More

I have dined in 5 star restaurants and for that reason I don't award a 5 rating very often. I didn't give Harbor Inn a 5, but it is VERY good!! We had the broiled scallops appetizer and it was ridiculously good. The scallops were succulent and well seasoned. They were cooked perfectly and were extremely tender. I had the... More

This venue has a very relaxed, comfortable "pub" atmosphere where staff is friendly and efficient. Our food was excellent and the menu offered a wide range of offerings. Outdoor is also available with a view of the Harbor and Marina. Live music topped off our evening.

The food is fantastic. Prime rib , bluegill sliders, liver & onions to name a few . Get there early in Friday and Saturdays for dinner or you will be waiting.

Harbor Inn and Ale has been a great place for any occasion. My favorite dish is the rattlesnake pasta bowl, which is spicy, but just short of too much. They've always been accommodating for our needs, from a surprise party to an anniversary celebration, or even just the two or four of us.

Thank John F
