While traveling in Midland we were tired of the fast foods so we decided to eat here. My husband got the salad bar which he didn't like. The food is just ok nothing to brag about.

We always eat at Shirlene's when we come to Midland. We love the salad bar and on Friday nights they had a Seafood Buffet, with crab legs, frog legs, fried fish, fried shrimp and cold shrimp. It was very good, along with the soup and salad bar. My husband had the steak filet and that was great as well.

We stopped here driving home from Traverse City. We were hungry. Great prices, great service, and great food. Fresh and delicious salad bar, with plenty of homemade salads...coleslaw, potato salad, macaroni, and many more. In addition to tasty soups. And fresh greens, and veggies. Hubby ordered the hot turkey sandwich. Everything was fresh and tasty. Good value.

Their breakfast is good. Good breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner are simply just ok. Nothing special.

Our waitress Heather was one of the friendliest we've ever encountered. She was upbeat and made us feel as welcome as regulars. The daily special was an outstanding value and was delicious. We'll be back if we are ever in the area again.

Had breakfast with dad - massive fluffy wheat pancakes and a custom made omelet. Both were very good. My coffee cup was never less than half full. Attentive and friendly service. The place is dated but maybe that is part of the charm.

Not a bad place too eat breakfast if you'd like too eat at a locally owned restaurant. The toast was great but the potatoes just steamed or boiled and the onions on my "home fries" were raw.

My father and I stopped in at Shirlenes for lunch one day and could not be more impressed. We had the lunch buffet, it was a fair size for the price. The food was all fresh and they offered a great variety of food. It seemed that the bar was never ending. The staff did and excellent job of keeping... More

Our hotel recommended this place, so we tried it. They had a great variety of food and a great variety at the soup and salad bar. The food was excellent and the food at the soup and salad bar was surprisingly good especially the Bacon Asparagus Soup. For the price, it was an excellent value. You probably are not going... More

We often go here for breakfast. They have the best omelets around. Family atmosphere and so friendly. Family owned so they take much pride in all they do.
