There aren't many places in Middleville, MI where you can get authentic Southern-style BBQ, but Broken Smoker is one of them. Growing up in the South, we spent plenty of summer evenings barbecuing in the backyard. We decided to bring that iconic taste up north and share it with families in our community. Great BBQ and Service

We cam here with another couple after riding our bikes on the trail nearby. So glad we did, the owner came out and talked with us, convinced my husband to try the BBQ Grilled Cheese. It was the bomb, so good. I had the Brisket sandwich and asked for lean, very favorable and yes it was lean. our waitress was very personable and attentive. We will be back.

AMAZING BBQ

The food is AMAZING. We had the brisket and pulled pork with the Memphis sauce. It was so tender and delicious. The hush puppies were crispy, the beans had a great smoky flavor, and the French fries were hot and crispy. We left with two take out orders for my sons. We will definitely come here again.

Wow! Incredible smoked meats

Wow! Incredible smoked meats beautifully presented. Everything was hot and fresh. The cornbread was homemade with delicious whipped honey butter. I really liked the texture and flavor of the beans with pork and bbq. My husband ordered the fries with cheese and brisket and a side of mac n cheese. I ordered the spicy sausage with a side of slaw and beans. There sauces are perfectly mixed and the meats were tender and rich with flavor. Our server was very attentive. We loved everything about it. Can’t wait to go back! If you are in the area, they also offer delivery.

Small Town Deliciousness!!!!!

We go here on a regular basis. It is in a cute small town on a very pretty main street. Cozy and casual atmosphere with smells to drive you wild! The food is amazing and there are plenty of choices so you can have something different every time. The staff is great and the amount of food you get for the money is a great value. There is no beer on tap but you can get bottles, soft drinks and ice tea. If you're in the area, you must check out The Broken Smoker!

2 of us shared the Sampler today! 5 meats, 5 sides with all their "dipping" sauces! Priced perfectly! Seems like when we go to Smokehouses, we end up paying way to much for what you get. Not at the Broken Smoker. Every Thursday a friend n I go to different places to try local food. Todays was a BIG WINNER! Everything tasted so good. Down home smoked meats, fresh cut fries and meaty baked beans. This is now our go to place for smoked yummies! Keep up the great work Broken Smoker!

I loved, loved, loved their baked beans! They were the best I’ve EVER had. (Sorry Mom and Sue) The pulled port with “Outhouse” sweet and sour sauce was wonder-ful. Add in the coleslaw and cornbread, and I was marveling about our meal all the way home. This was our very first visit, and I can’t wait to return.

Loved the brisket at the broken smoker in Middleville Michigan. Really enjoyed the four different types of signature sauces. Smoked beans and hush puppies were awesome. I’ll be back.

Best damn BBQ outside of Texas and better than the great majority of joints in Texas.

Texas doesn't have much to recommend it, that is except for BBQ. Texas knows BBQ. This is the best damn BBQ outside of Texas I've ever been to. The BBQ beans are the absolute best I've ever had. Thank God that this establishment is an easy drive from my home in Grand Rapids.

Amazing BBQ and lots of gluten free options! Traveling on vacation is always more complicated when you have a gluten allergy or worse yet, celiac! The manager was so helpful over the phone and shared that she has celiac too. The BBQ ribs and Brisket were melt in your mouth delicious! I was able to get French fries, too, because they have a dedicated fryer! A real treat! Dinner was amazing and I would recommend to anyone with a gluten allergy!

The Best BBQ place

My daughter is new to the area so we tried this restaurant. The food was fabulous! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The decor is basic but very clean. We will be going back! The best BBQ restaurant with great service.

Typical picnic table and paper towel napkins type BBQ restaurant. We shared a pound of pulled pork and sides of coleslaw, and they were delicious. They had 4 choices of bbq sauces, but it was delicious without any sauce. Definitely will be back.

Bit of a disappointment.

Having visited here recently, I definitely was expecting a little more.First off, the dining room was was pretty non- descript. Nothing that made a statement that you were in a barbecue joint. Service, although very friendly, was really slow. I had the ribs which seemed to be undercooked and chewy.The serving portions here did tend to be on the generous side, so you will not go away hungry. Most likely would not recommend.
