Just went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a person who lives nearby. It gives a warm and friendly atmosphere with small town charm. The service is fast and friendly with staff who knows the menu which dons a large favourable selection of the standards to the more unique. I had the maple glazed duckling which was served with... Schuler's has been known as one of the finest restaurants in Michigan for decades. Long popular with travelers from as far away as Chicago and Detroit, it offers the finest dining in a lovely, comfortable atmosphere. The walls of the Centennial room, the main dining room, are covered with large photos of historic Marshall. A true gem in this gem... More

The salad was a little disappointing but the entree was very good. I was offered a dessert in honour of my birthday but as I am diabetic I turned it down and we were given an upgraded bread basket.

Where did they get those turkeys anyway? So moist - both white and dark meat. We booked a Thanksgiving dinner at Schuler's for the second time. No cooking, nor dishwashing, no work at all for the holiday. Just sit back and enjoy a complete Thanksgiving meal in such a historic charming restaurant. Suggestion: make reservations early and ask to be... More

We stopped for a late lunch the day after Thanksgiving. We started with the meatball appetizer. It was wonderful and plenty for three people. We had salmon, a pub burger and a brisket sandwich. All were delicious. Our waiter, Tyler, was an excellent server. He was attentive and accommodating to our requests. We will return again to this wonderful restaurant.

I had to meet someone from Kalamazoo, so we met in Marshall as a half way point. I hadn't been to Schuler's in many, many years. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our wait person was friendly and efficient. Our food was excellent and served quickly. We were able to talk and complete our business without feeling rushed in any... More

It was cool to sit outside and have a soup and some fish and chips out of newspaper. The mushy peas were on point too!

We came for a late supper after a game in Ann Arbor. I always enjoy looking at the quotes and sayings in the ceiling beams, and while the fireplace wasn't going that night, it is still a cozy spot in the restaurant. Everyone in our party was very pleased with the presentation and taste of our meal, and we shared... More

Schuler's is patterned after an old hotel model with a dining room and pub side. Either side is comfortable and if seated in the pub for dinner, the dining room menu is available. Prime rib is excellent - as was the Swiss onion soup. I would recommend both - providing you have the appetite to handle that much. Service was... More

A road trip to Ann Arbor, MI from Chicago included a stop for dinner at Schuler's in Marshall, MI. It was well worth it. The restaurant has been there 100 years and it is a cozy place to stop. Everything from the decor to the items on the menu feels authentic. I would highly recommend for fall or winter day... More

Description
For over 100 years, Schuler's Restaurant & Pub has kept it in the family - and beaten the odds. How rare is this achievement? According to Family Business Review more than 30 percent of all family-owned businesses survive into the second generation. Twelve percent will still be viable into the third generation, with three percent of all family businesses operating at the fourth-generation level and beyond. Schuler's, a four-generation, family-owned restaurant in Marshall, Michigan is an institution.

Schuler's attributes its longevity to the foresight of our founder and the succeeding family members who have used their entrepreneurial skills to build a 100-year tradition of hospitality and fine dining.
