It has been way too many years since we have stopped here. Glad we decided that the time was right to stop again. My husband had the Whitefish. It was delicate and perfectly prepared. My choice was prime rib medium rare. So very good. Minimal fat and perfectly cooked. My French Onion soup was on the salty side but that... More

Schuler's uses toxic food and drink and refuses to even offer real food. Everything they serve is loaded with toxic chemicals that cause obesity, cancers, diabetes and metabolic diseases. There's nothing historic about the poisoned pesticide laden dishes they serve. There's nothing honorable about the dry, selfish, backstabbing attitudes I find in Hans.

The beams on the ceiling has quotes that keep you entertained as you sit by the fireplace. The food is very good and the service is excellent. I really enjoyed the Schuler's bar cheese, appetizers, and my family loved the meatballs. I think its great for groups or romantic dinners. I had a fish meal for lunch but would like... More

The Restaurant is a very nice upscale place that serves a nice variety of food. Reservations are recommended as it is always busy. Our server Taylor was prompt, friendly and courteous!

Great restaurant with great ambience for business and leisure. Must be great for a romantic dinner for someone special. You have to cross the road to find parking, though.

The pub menu is a little less expensive than the main dining rooms. Wonderful old time atmosphere. House made breads for the sandwiches, you can also purchase a loaf in the lobby. Don't forget Schuler's bar cheese & crackers.

We were visiting Marshall for the weekend and I had always heard about this restaurant and wanted to try it. The staff was pleasant and we were greeted and seated promptly. Our server was pleasant and competent also. The crackers and cheese were a nice start to our meal and was complimentary. My husband had the seafood chowder and loved... More

I don't know how to review this restaurant without sounding snobbish, but here goes and I hope you will understand. This is probably the nicest restaurant overall in Marshall, Michigan. But thats largely because Marshall has so few sit-down, non-pizza, non-sandwich restaurants. Anywhere else (like in Detroit) it would just be average and overpriced. The restaurant itself is an old-school... More

Met friends for dinner. It is an old place and looks a bit old. Could use an interior clean Started with the Caprese salad and Brussels sprouts. Both were excellent. Three of us had the whitefish and nod had prime rib. The prime rib was a bit dry. The whitefish was good, not excellent but good. The potatoes and green... More

Description
For over 100 years, Schuler's Restaurant & Pub has kept it in the family - and beaten the odds. How rare is this achievement? According to Family Business Review more than 30 percent of all family-owned businesses survive into the second generation. Twelve percent will still be viable into the third generation, with three percent of all family businesses operating at the fourth-generation level and beyond. Schuler's, a four-generation, family-owned restaurant in Marshall, Michigan is an institution.

Schuler's attributes its longevity to the foresight of our founder and the succeeding family members who have used their entrepreneurial skills to build a 100-year tradition of hospitality and fine dining.
