Authentic Cajun/Creole food. By far the best restaurant in the UP. Better than any restaurant in Grand Rapids!

This was my first visit. The bartender recommended a great local beer and the Bayou Bouillabaisse. Both were excellent. After dinner he followed up with a recommendation of bread pudding. Another fine choice. The food was great but I over ate. The meal was topped off with great conversation with people sitting beside me at the bar, and the friendliness... More
Wow. Love this place! Excellent service, live music that's not overpowering and best of all, fantastic food! Gumbo is fantastic. Also the blackened catfish with crawfish etoufee on top is great. My husband had the seafood bouillabaisse and thought it was outstanding. Came back for lunch the next day, and enjoyed blackened gator bites and warm crawfish salad. Wow, all... More
Very tasty, authentic food. The drinks are excellent also, with the potency of the Hurricane drinks based on the the scale used for rating hurricanes. The pasta dishes, seafood choices and salads offer something for most everyone. You can choose your intensity of spice, or none at all.
Great food and decor. Almost felt like being in the big easy. The menu is large and we have been there multiple times and every meal and drink has been amazing.
Excellent Food, Knowledgeable and attentive staff, Fun Atmosphere, and Wonderful live music on Wednesday and Thursday nights. I always recommend this restaurant to visitors. Authentic Louisiana food with a wide variety of spicy and non-spicy, even including some vegetarian/vegan options. If you want to be seated close to the band, show up early because it fills up quick.
Seemingly authentic Cajun food. All food is very good quality. I've eaten here about 5 times with usually large groups of 8 or more.

I loved the cajun catfish. the voodoo sauce is pretty spicy, so its good on the side. even the jalapeno slaw had a kick to it! We were there on a Wednesday... More
Planning a trip to Lagniappe tomorrow and checked their web site for details. We've been there severddal times, and although it needs some upkeep, it is always a pleasant experience. Maybe we are just lucky, but the staff have been part of the fun. We do tend to avoid when they have a musical guest due to the noise. As... More
