Donckers is a unique restaurant and business in the heart of downtown Marquette. It is a must visit while in town. They have tons of candies, a soda fountain and now serve food in their small and quaint restaurant.

So there is a long history to Donckers in Marquette and when I was a kid it was only a candy shop on the first floor..Fast forward and it is now my favorite place to stop and eat (and satisfy my sweet tooth) when I'm...More

Great place. Friendly service and a top shelf hot fudge sundae. Can't ask for more. In business since 1896. They must be doing it right.

Downstairs is the soda fountain & ice cream bar, best ice cream in town. Then walk around downtown or down to the Lower Harbor. Upstairs is the best breakfast in town (lunch and dinners are good too!)

I stopped in here to get some of their chocolates and didn't have any food on the menu. That being said, the chocolate is phenomenal. Purchased the dark chocolate malted milk balls which are solid malt in the center, dark chocolate covered pecans and several...More

Ate breakfast here on our way out of Marquette. Great "old downtown" styling and feel. Food selection and quality was excellent. Would definitely eat there again.

We were first time visitors to the city and came to Donckers as we were walking. What a terrific place! Time didn't allow us a full exploration of all the offerings here. Food, drinks, candy, baked items and more. Loved the eclectic decor and varied...More

We came because of the high Trip Advisor rating. When you walk in, it looks like a candy store, but don't let that fool you. The restaurant is upstairs. The manager was there to greet us, give us menus, to let us know the line...More

Finding parking in downtown Marquette can be a trick but Donkers is worth it. Downstairs you have the old time candy shop. Upstairs you have the deli/sandwich shop. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with mushrooms and feta. I could eat that every day and...More

Little pricey for the amount of food offered. The jam was delicious tho. Great view out downtown Marquette while eating. Loved the shop downstairs. Kids loved the candy and chocolate. Would come again.

No beer or wine but chocolate and phosphates. A better place locally for beer and wine is the Ore Docks and Sol Azteca.

Donckers was established in 1896 by Fred Donckers, a one-armed family man that prided himself on great customer service and top-notch ingredients used to make his locally-famous chocolate fudge.

Over 120 years later, Donckers is continuing the tradition of great, quality food and service to locals and tourists alike. Take a trip to Donckers for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and stay for dessert at the old fashioned soda fountain, or try some house-made chocolates and caramels from the store. Some items of note are the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels, Fred's Tin Roof Sundae, fresh local burgers, and award winning Donckers mac and cheese.
