The service was very good and the meals delivered to the table were all excellent (Salmon salad, Mussels with squid pasta, Halibut and Filet mignon). Prices weren't cheap, but nothing is anymore. Unlike Iron Bay which hidden charges . . . the bill from Delft was very straight forward and no extra charges for staff gratuity or use of credit card . . . all of which as standard operating expenses and shouldn't be added to already expensive bill. We will definitely return to Delft Bistro.

Excellent food in large portions. Curry, skirt steak and burger options we had were some of the best food we ate in town during our visit. The ambience was fun—retro theatre theme including the old screen which was running an old film on silent.

Neat little bistro that you can watch the cooks make everything. Nice atmosphere, has a large screen TV with a movie playing with subtitles on, no sound. Bathrooms are in the basement so not an easy feat for those with limited mobility. The steps were also a bit slippery when going down, but they were very clean. My boys got burgers and fries, they looked amazing and tasted great. My husband and I got the Foghorn sandwich which is a chicken sandwich with a slaw on top. The sandwich was good, but it could be a lot better… i think it needs more sauce or more slaw on it. There were no other condiments than the slaw, which, in my opinion either needed more of it, or some sort of sauce on it. I loved the pickles on the burger my son got, and think those would be very tasty on that sandwich. Staff was very busy and it appeared they only had 2 waiters but they were very attentive.

We had an rv issue and were looking for a place for lunch that was dog friendly. I was so excited to see this place with such great reviews. I could not be more disappointed. The “dog friendly “ section is no longer on the outdoor patio. Instead they have tiny high top tables sandwiched in between the street and the sidewalk. We felt like we were being punished for bringing our dog. We had to keep her at about a foot of leash to keep her out of the road and off the sidewalk. To make matters worse, there was street parking so cars were pulling in and out the whole time. Our poor dog stood under our table the whole time. It was shaded, windy and cold. The coffee I ordered to try to warm up was stale and tasted like mud. My food was nice quality, but bland with no seasoning on the chicken sandwich or fries. The waitress was kind, but it is a HORRIBLE place to go unless you are trying to punish your dog.

My wife and I came for a date night. The drinks were very good. We ordered the fillet mignon. The fillet mignon was ordered, medium and medium rare. Both were well done. The flaming young had extra salt and was not very tasteful. Not worth it for $40 a steak. We both won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Two families went for dinner service during weekenight in early August. We were seated slightly after our reservation time, which was acceptable given a busy night. Server was ok, though obvious she did not have much training around families/kids. Menu has many nice options, though had 'run out' of a couple items we would liked to have tried. Main issue was there were numerous parties seated well after we had placed our main course order that received their food before us. We were a party of 8, some of these were parties of 5. I'd check out other options in the area before returning.

My husband and I came here for dinner on our road trip. The food was average. Ribs were very dry, Brussels sprouts were over-cooked. My husband liked his bowl with mushroom steak. Waitress was nice. I wouldn't go back.

I am somewhat in disbelief regarding our visit and incredibly disappointed. Our party of 4 adults was visiting Marquette for the first time for vacation, so we were not familiar with the restaurant, but the online reviews were favorable. There was a line to check in and some others ahead of us did not have reservations. We did not have a reservation. We were told we could be added to the waitlist and that it would be 45 minutes, but that we would be called if something opened sooner. No problem (yet). We made our way back to the restaurant after 40 minutes. No sooner did we arrive than the call came. The staff member explained that she was sorry but that she had bad news. Because the kitchen was running out of items, they decided to allow no more seatings, including our party. She tried to support this by explaining that being seated under these circumstances wouldn't provide us with the full experience that the establishment wanted us to have. I confirmed that we just spent 45 minutes waiting for their call and questioned why they waited so long to tell us that we would not be able to be seated. The staff member responded by saying that she had never experienced this, but that being on the waitlist was not a guarantee that we would be seated. There's a reason she never had never experienced this: it's darned inconsiderate and extremely poor customer service! Let me get this straight: you want me to have a full experience but you can't guarantee that I will have an experience? To be clear, I had an experience and it was bad. My initial impression was that this place had a cool vibe and an interesting menu. After this experience, I have no desire to return. We're bringing tourism revenue into your community and have a strong desire to support local businesses. Apparently, my patronage is not something that your business needs or values.

This restaurant has a number of attributes going for it that allowed it to rise to the top of my list of Marquette places to eat for our anniversary: a menu with variety enough to allow for a myriad of choices, casual ambiance, good prices, and the awesome assistance of Michael (Asst. Mgr) & Kelsey (Mgr.) who arranged a perfect table along with a special dessert. The final piece of the puzzle was our waiter (Clay), who was friendly and attentive. This is not a fancy, Michelin starred restaurant, but all in all, a great spot for an anniversary dinner.

The fried brussel sprouts were definitely "fried" tonight - to a burnt crisp, along with the bacon. A salad is now $16, with no protein. For $75 for two people, one drink each, that's a lot of money for nothing too spectacular. We feel like they used to have better quality.

We love the Delft’s imaginative menu and fun atmosphere. However lately the service has been so so, especially outside. The foghorn leghorn chicken sandwich is definitely worth a trip along with the Brussels sprouts. Hopefully the restaurant will be able to upgrade staff so that service can match the good food.

Had the Burrata, Beets Neapolitan, and Pesta Pappardelle topped with salmon. Everything was delicious, the salmon was cooked perfectly and really made the pasta. Drinks were creative and good. The atmosphere bring an old movie theater was interesting but the acoustics made it very loud when seated in the downstairs area.

Homemade gnudi was incredible. When I asked for a beer list the server said he gave us one but we looked all over the table in front of him and it wasn’t there and we still didn’t receive one. Otherwise service was good. Setting is cool and I’d go back for that gnudi alone every time. I just kept remarking how delicious it was.

Really great food and with really friendly staff. Everything is prepared in house from simple syrups, sauces, dressings and all the desserts. Great selections for vegetarians and vegans. Definitely a must go when in Marquette

A different type of casual atmosphere with the huge movie screen on one wall showing movies while you dine (with the sound off and subtitles on). Rustic feel with bare brick walls, wood slab tables, and "industrial-style" steel chairs. Service was excellent. Ambiance is casual. We had salads with grilled chicken added. Harvest beet salad; Parmesan Brussels Sprout salad. Both were delicious with fresh greens, tasty dressing, and well thought out combination of ingredients.
