Disappointing

Was here a year ago and everything was so delicious. No so this time. I went for pot roast but they not even have any, so I thought I'd try the smoked meat loaf. Not a good choice. It was tasteless, with a couple bites having a sweet taste, nasty. Mashed potatoes had a teaspoon of gravy. Someone else had stuffed peppers she couldn't eat the pepper it was like chewy and in pieces but the meat was good. Server was great. Hostess seemed like she was pissed at everyone and never put on a mask. There were seven of us that won't go back. Prices were too high also.

We visited here while staying with family nearby. The service was slow but the food was delicious. The decor is fun, with each table or area having a different theme (ours was camping, but I saw hunting, fishing, scouts, etc.). I'd eat here again assuming I had the time.

I finally gave this place a 2nd chance and I was pleasantly delighted. Ordered the ribs and brisket both were very good and the delivery service was great. My husband and I have been on the hunt for the best ribs in the area and so far Foxfire is number 1. Sides were nothing special just French fries, veggies and corn bread but it was all about the main course. Only disappointment was I was supposed to get chicken noodle soup and they sent coleslaw instead. I am a soup freak and was really looking forward to it. We will be back. Thanks

Made a reservation for 5:30 for 18 for pre-theater dinner. Only 1 server for a group this size. Food was okay, but several orders were incorrect, and a couple had to be returned because they were cooked incorrectly. The coleslaw was slimy and had absolutely no flavor. Most of us sent it back, no substitution was offered. The worst part was that 4 diners did not get their orders until it was time to leave for the theater, 1-1/2 hours after arriving at the restaurant. They packed it up and took it with them so as not to be late for curtain time. We thought the food was overpriced at $17.99 for 2 pieces of fish and mac and cheese dinner. Many mistakes, which were blamed on the kitchen. Really? Needless to say, we will not be back.

Out with the old in with the new!

I called in a pickup for a pizza and it cost a little under $20. The staff gave themselves a $15 tip and I had to find out thru my bank. Sarah was my server (on my receipt) and I didn't see her once, Diane handled my transaction and Brett was the one who retrieved my food. Diane is no longer fit to deal with the public, in my opinion, sorry. I will never trust these people with any of my money again.

Service Terrible—Cold Food

I called ahead to see if reservations were needed. I was told they were strongly recommended as it was busy along with the Christmas walk. Well a couple got there about 15 mins early. They were seated an then ignored. Servers walking by without even asking if they would like something to drink. We arrived about 5 mins late. I told the hostess we’re were all there now. (We observed she was a bar tender) well after over 10 mins an servers waiting on the other 3 (Not Busy!) tables with no one acknowledging us! Waited another few minutes an decided to leave. The people at the booth behind us (overheard an saw the lousy service we got) spoke to us an told us it was a good thing we were leaving. There food was cold an they would not return. They recommended the Fish Company in Marine City. We went there an had excellent service an delicious hot food. I do not recommend Foxfire Fixins at all. (This was my 4th time at Foxfire Fixins. Each time it had gone downhill. Last time staff was at the bar complaining loudly about other staff members. This time took the cake with no service.) we even spoke to two of the waitresses on the way out. An they kept saying well whose table was it…not mine.

My husband and I went for a casual dinner. The service was exceptional as were the Ribs! Actually everything was delicious! The wonton wrapped pulled pork with the special sauce was delectable! The sides of cornbread, red skinned mash, sweet potato fries that we had with the ribs were so tasty! Seriously I didn’t know how GREAT this place was. We will be back!

Very unorganized and disappointed

Drove a good distance to check this place out. Had reservations but got there early. " No need to make them as the place was dead ". So we went in to get a drink while waiting for my parents to arrive. We were seated, waited 25 mins and no one, I say not one person as they walked by said Hi, I'll be right with you, have you been helped?. Then a large party of ladies walked in, sat down and 2 waitresses were right there to get their drink order. Oh they were from the Christmas tree walk so I guess they were special. We ended leaving and thanks the the lady at the table across from us mentioned the Marine City Fish Company. "She mentioned her food was cold". Off we went, had a fantastic meal at the Fish Company with amazing customer service! Highly recommend.

Eclectic, unique, fun and delicious!

Super fun decor-a feast for your eyes! Friendly staff and owners. We had the poppers, deep fried mushrooms and the very generous bluegill dinner. We were very happy with all of it! We’ve also had take out several times of pulled pork, ribs, burgers and brisket. Always good and on time. The house made chips are tasty and recommend them over the fries. And I can’t forget to mention the bloody Marys. OMG! So good!

First timers and we will definitely be back. Our server was great and very friendly. We had onion rings, which were amazing. I had smoked meatloaf for my meal and it was delicious. Our toddler loved the Mac and cheese :) Thanks for everything!

What a great find! We met some family members here for dinner. The food was good and a very good value. Half of the fun was just looking and finding crazy things on the walls and ceiling. All this with a entertaining guitar player.

The food was good. Ribs, smoked meatloaf, chicken and appetizers. Brussels sprouts an fried cheese were good. But my daughter said she loved the Monte Cristo sandwich was really good. It is a little pricy but fun. We ate in in a fishing shanty. Fun.

My daughter took me here last night. What a unique place. Food was fantastic. Service amazing. Truly enjoyed this very unique restaurant. So many things to see one trip isn’t enough. And will definitely be going back.

My wife and I went there for the first time on the eve of our wedding anniversary. Our server was Emily. She was very efficient, quick, and personable. The food was delicious and plenty of it, and priced fairly. I would highly recommend it.

Super awesome place, great staff and food! So much to see and talk about while enjoying delicious eats!! I love all the different themes and information around the restaurant. Down to earth people and great big beers!!
