Our hotel staff recommended this as the best in Manistee. That was a spot on assessment. We ate during early evening and the place was packed, clearly popular with lots of local folks. Our service was prompt and food was excellent. It was even busier...when we left after our meal.More

This is located about 5 miles from the Little River Casino. It is a bar and restaurant. It has a decent menu. We both got the special of the day, smoked brisket sandwich with fries and cole slaw…$9.99. Good price, nice atmosphere, good service. We...love stopping here on the way to Manistee.More

The atmosphere here is eclectic. In the bar area it's dark with great tin ceilings and the dining section is mostly wood and very bright.  It mixes into a very inviting environment. I actually came here, heck came to Manistee, because they had a Bourbon...Steak! So I ordered the Bourbon Glazed Ribeye ($31) with Mashed Potatoes and Applesauce. While the steak was cooked Perfectly Medium, it was a little bit of a disappointment. This isn't to say it was bad, it was in fact very good, this is sad because I had hope of excellence. Also too much gristle for my liking. That being said the Mashed Potatoes were excellent, in fact my favorite thing of the night. Maybe top 5, I've ever had. The applesauce was good. I ordered a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. It started a little cold for my taste, however as it warmed up it became very good, easily the second best thing of the night! The service was excellent. From start to finish my waitress was great. Overall I'd give a 4 star review! Would I return? Yes, but I'd try something else. Still I recommend giving it a shot!More

We tried ordering breakfast on Friday, but they didn't have cooks so we tried again on Saturday. They were open for breakfast and it was a quick turn around to get our food for takeout. The food was ok, but didn't have much flavor. Nothing...too special.More

My husband and I have been coming here for years. The food is always good, no matter what we order. The lady who said her lunch was 'barely edible' must have been having a bad day. We were there on a busy night a couple...of weeks ago and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. My husband's favorite is the Bourbon Burger. I like the Michigan Salad with a slab of blackened salmon on top of it. Friendly atmosphere and attentive wait staff.More

We stopped because of the reviews and the busy parking lot. But we got burgers and a quesadilla that were burnt and tasteless! Best thing I can say about the place is the napkins were soft and it was close to 31 ! Aweful experience..will...not go back !More

Stopped in for breakfast on our way out of town. Plenty of staff with great service. Coffee carafe on your table so you don't have to wait for refills! Plenty of selections for breakfast and food was good. Shower curtains between booths to help with...the COVID. All of the staff and partrons had masks on. Would gladly visit again.More

Stopped in here to get out of downtown for a change . The service was friendly and fast We tried the fried asparagus and were pleasently surprised. After asking if the burgers were fresh , we were told they were frozen but tried them anyway....They were very good for a frozen burger. I had the Bourbon burger and it was tasty and very large so we each took half home . Drinks were ok priced I guess but did drive up our bill. We sat at the bar but the dining room looked nice although they had plastice up everywhere due to Covid . Worth the stop if your in town . Our server (0001) was very pleasent and helpful . Great tv's to watch a game at the bar also.More

Stopped in here in the way through Manistee. Not a whole lot of dining in Manistee, and we had passed this place many times, without stopping. We were seated immediately, and the service was excellent thru the whole meal. The menu is goid, with good...variety. Our party all had burgers. They arrived promptly, and we're cooked how we had ordered them. The portions were goid, and they tasted great! Our server was attentive, and did a great job .More

We have been coming here for many years and are never disappointed. The food is always very good and served in generous portions. Most (maybe all) meals come with 2 sides and a slice of Texas toast. The staff is always very friendly and would...be a great place to watch some sports games. My favorite is the freshwater perch with corn and tater tots. The tater tots are very crunchy almost like sonic. We also always order an appetizer of cheese sticks. It's one of my favorite places to get cheese sticks because they're fried. Excellent atmosphere, service, and food. We are always sure to stop by on our way through.More

Cute restaurant right outside of Manistee. Our family had the salmon with Parmesan garlic (YUM), 1/2 pound steamed shrimp, mushroom burger, and the rueben. Everything was cooked properly and tasty. Appropriately large portions. We have some very discerning opinions in our party and everyone was...pleased! Oh and the fried asparagus spears are AMAZING. Servers were kind, accurate and fast. The restaurant was clean and the staff had proper PPE on, and dividers between tables where needed.More

On the south end of Manistee stands a nice looking, late 60s style restaurant and bar named Bungalow Inn. The staff are nice, efficient and attentive. There is excellent distance between tables, comfortable seating, good parking, and everything appears clean and orderly. Prices were about...normal for a family sit-down restaurant. Rest rooms were very well maintained and up-to-date. There was a lot of local and itinerant traffic during our early Saturday evening dinner time - generally that indicates that the food is usually pretty good. Service was fast. Just one thing of which you must beware - don't order the smothered chicken. My wife and I both ordered the same - and neither of us could finish it. It was apparently pre-cooked chicken that was reheated on the grill, then a few mushrooms and a slice of cheese slapped on. It was dry, tough and flavorless. The steamed broccoli was good, but it was from frozen, not from fresh - although that is expected in the winter time in Michigan.More

Yes I think so. They had a nice selection of salads and protein. I don't remember whether they had a separate menu. My husband is gluten free and he was able to eat there without any problems.
