We came in as a group of six friends and had the best dinner ever! The Caesar salad was the best in Detroit and the steak Diane was made tableside in front of us. The smell and taste was out of this world! Then, they came with our flaming Château Briand. We could eat it with our fork. Then the barbecue ribs came and they actually fell off the bone. We have never had better drinks. You really get what you pay for here. Can’t wait to come back. I forgot, the Live piano music was just the frosting on the cake.

I love this restaurant. The daily specials are always varied, and you get a lot of food for your money. The service is always superb as is the ambiance and entertainment. The bread basket comes with every meal with freshly baked rolls which are sinfully the best! I cannot wait to go back. Try the Saganaki you will love it!

I planned a dinner here last Friday with a group of friends for my husband's bday. We had not eaten here but everyone else had. Yes it is old school but i have to say everything was great! Cocktails were good and not weak. Caesar salad did have a lot of garlic but was very good. Everyone loved their meals! We will definitely return!

The tableside Caesar salad had so much garlic it was inedible. The waitress did nothing to accommodate us. Our crab cakes in lobster sauce were served to us cold and the sauce had congealed. Had the waitress came back to our table to ask how everything was she would have known and we could have sent our entrée back to be warmed. The crab cake was not homemade most likely from Gordon's. The website has not been updated and the menu is not reflective of what is actually being served.

Reduced menu . No vegan dishes. Caesar salad not made at table no anchovies just croutons and shredded parm. No pasta dishes only as side. Took forever. Entertainment too loud couldn’t carry on a conversation. Will not be back.

I guess that I don't have the same decor tastes as the "progressives" on this site ... I like Old School wood ... it's classy and cozy to me. Table service was outstanding. I had the "split" eggplant/chicken Parmesan ... mm, mm good! My date had the seafood special which she proclaimed as very tasty ... a bit garlicy ... she told me to try it ... I did ... liked it ... liked it more since we both had it ... "wink"

The worst restaurant that I have been to. Looks like a dump on the outside. Inside it smells like a musty old basement. Air conditioning not working and when brought this up to he manager's he didn't really care. Did not order food and left. Marginal cleanliness at best. Waitstaff was excellent.

Had not been to Boodles in a dozen years but met a friend here for dinner. Still a wonderfully cozy and slightly elegant atmosphere. I ordered the Steak Dianne and was a little disappointed that it was not prepared tableside. It was still wonderful. Great place to have conversation, regulars seem to flock to the bar.

Group of ten (10) of us and the food and service was AMAZING. Allowed us separate checks, never had to wait for extra drinks or table clearing to make more room. Piano player/singer there on Wed. and Thurs. nights was great and added to our evening, even encouraging sing-alongs as the night progressed and not that many diners left. Also took requests, which was fun. Been here a very long time and not much has changed, which is why it's probably lasted. Don't think you'll be disappointed.

Noodles is a great, central spot for a nice meal, drink and live piano. It's a throwback ambiance, dark colors and lighting, cozy place for a romantic dinner, apps and drinks at the bar rail or a full family gathering with great tableside ceaser salad, steak and some live jazz piano if you come at the right time. There are plenty of modern restaurants in Detroit... But if you're looking for a classic, give Boodles a try.

First time diners, recommended by friends that frequent it. Was told they have Bananas Foster, so we were in!! Service was good enough, atmosphere good enough, chicken parmigian tasty. But came for the bananas foster, so couldn't wait. It is dessert for 2 at a hefty price, but if it is good, would be well worth it. It is prepared far enough from our table to not be able to see the chef is going crazy with orange rind. What, orange rind in bananas foster? It is horrible, waitress puts it down and can't be found for quite a few minutes. Asks how it it, our reply is why is their orange rinds in it, which we did not like. Nor was anything tasty about the dessert. She did not ask if we wanted something else, nor did she offer to take the uneaten dessert off our bill. I guess moral of the story is to ask to see the manager or owner, or to not go back, and definitely not recommend it.

I had not been to this restaurant in probably 20 years, but some friends wanted to try it again, so we did. Actually, we have been here 3 times recently. I found the service somewhat lacking, but the food pretty good. Prices are reasonable. The decor is in serious need of an update. There are generally several daily specials. Cuisine is not imaginative, but basic.
