We always stop her to get our fish. The perch is very fresh but can be expensive. I love this place and can't wait to go back.

A mom and pop place set back along the lake, it sells fresh fish, smoked fish, and makes fried fish meals. We bought trout pate and a plate of fried white fish one evening and it was so good (and not expensive like elsewhere in this tourist town) that we went back a second time.

Great whitefish, fries & coleslaw! Quick service for our group of 13. Outside seating only. Not sure the vulture on the outside of the building is a welcoming sight but it's unique. Other members in our group had perch and chicken and said they were delicious also.

The food was amazing and Derek stayed open late so we could eat. The staff goes above and beyond, we will definitely return when we are back in mackinaw.

I have stopped here for smoked fish over the years - sturgeon, whitefish, chubs. Never been disappointed with what I got. A true (fresh) fish store does not have every thing all the time due to seasonal availability and fishing seasons and such so a flexible attitude is advisable in such places. I'll be back and I think I'll try... More

Haven't tried their new fish fry on the premises, but their smoked fish and fresh fish is to die for. I've been going there since the shop opened - 1953. Literally, what you buy today, was swimming 3 hrs before, so you cannot get much fresher than this.

I buy whitefish and lake trout here & it has always been fresh, when I take it home to prepare. There are other selections like whitefish pate and teriyaki trout & smoked fish--so don't be shy to ask for samples!! I have tried their whitefish basket--it is ok, but there are better choices for that in town.

Bell's not only has fresh and smoked fish, they also prepare fresh fried fish and cheese curds for you to enjoy as you sit outside on their picnic tables. Be sure to sample everything they offer as you'll probably find many things you enjoy. Our favorite was the teriyaki lake trout.

We went in to look around the small shop and were offered samples of smoked fish (6 varieties) and fish based sausages (6 varieties). This way you get an idea as to taste preference etc. We chose the Smoked Lake Trout chunks approx. $11.00 for the 1 big chunk. The place was basic, but clean and the staff was friendly.... More
