We had dinner at Millie’s and the food and service were outstanding. We were seated quickly and Bob our server was one of the most efficient and pleasant servers we have had on the island. The kitchen got the soup and salad out fast and then came the main courses. The whitefish, pasta and Yooper patsie were outstanding. The restaurant is pretty small so I imagine there is a wait during busy times but it would be well worth it.

Millie’s on Main did not disappoint. The whitefish chowder was delicious with a generous amount of large meaty chucks of white fish. For my entree I ordered the “unplanked” whitefish dinner. Not knowing exactly what this meant we found out that original planked fish is breaded while unplanked is not breaded. Perfect for me liking. It was served with al dente green beans and duchess potatoes and Parmesan potato crown all cooked to perfection.
My travel companion ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs which she thoroughly enjoyed. “Amazingly good!”
Staff was pleasant and friendly, service was prompt. Highly recommend.

The atmosphere, food & service all receive five stars at Millie’s. The whitefish chowder, perch dinner & rosemary chicken were all outstanding & we are grateful for the menu guidance from our server. While this was our first visit to Millie’s, we have no doubt that Millie’s is on our permanent rotation of dining establishments for future Mackinac vacations. My only “rookie error” was that I declined to order one of the desserts that caught my eye. Next time!

Dinner on a Wednesday evening. On the plus side, we were seated quickly and the atmosphere was comfortable and not overly loud. Food was served hot, and the overall wait wasn’t bad, even though the restaurant appeared to have a large number of customers. On the negative side, our server was inexperienced — can’t fault her for that — but not very attentive. They hadn’t set the table with silverware or napkins and after trying to get someone’s attention I got up and got them myself. We were not offered any beverage refills during the course of our meal, and our waitress did not check back after the food arrived until it came time to bring the check. My wife had the Big City Chicken sandwich and it was tasty. I tried the Yooper Beef Pasty. Not bad, but the filling was mostly potato’s and the gravy did not appear homemade. Before the meal we tried the Big Girl Memmosa which was featured on their menu, at $12, and I wish we could say we liked it but it was definitely not worth the cost. Three stars overall because it was an average experience.

The best thing about Millie's was our server, Emma. The UP pastie was just okay, served with brown gravy and a small portion of coleslaw. Quite filling for a lower cost meal of $15.00. Their "bestselling" whitefish basket was good, but nothing to rave about. It came with three rather small pieces, fries, and a tiny cup of slaw for $20. Overall, nothing special for dining, but nice bar seating.

Service was good, food was just ok and quite expensive. $18 - 26 for basic sandwiches (BLT, chicken, veggie burger) served with potato chips. An upgrade to fries costs another $6. So not worth it. Won’t be returning.

We came to Millie's for lunch after the Pink Pony told us how long the wait there would be. We were seated immediately and received efficient and courteous service. The food was very good and the price was fair for the location, directly across from the ferry docks, next to the island tour carriage loading.
I'm not sure what makes it special, but it certainly is a fine choice of a place to have lunch. We started with the truffle fries, a huge pile, then continued to a hamburger and a club sandwich. All good.
This is not a place that will wow you, but a place to get a solid tasty meal.
Without having to wait an hour.

Having read great reviews of Millie's we were so very disappointed with our meals. We were two couples and no-one had a lovely meal. I am lactose intolerant and I know this is difficult to cater for in USA restaurants but this was really the worst of our four week trip. I was told that they could make a Whitefish basket with no dairy as the batter was had no dairy only beer and I was so looking forward to it. However when it came it was a sorry small piece of fish, very overcooked and dry with nothing at all on it. It did have coleslaw served with it as did our friends meals but we all found the coleslaw had a most unpleasant taste and could not eat it. At well over $100 dollars for me and my husband (not all of us) this was by far the worst meal and worst value of our trip. The restaurant was incredibly busy and it was well before the Memorial weekend.

Great pub on Mackinac Island. Crowded and popular; a bit of a wait for a table on a Sunday evening but space available at the bar. The onion soup and the whitefish were delicious, and our friendly server provided recommendations and interesting tidbits about life on the Island.

I was on my Pub Crawl, and this was one of my stops. The bartender was very friendly, and I asked for a beer recommendation. and was served an Oberon. He signed my shirt as I ordered the whitefish. The Whitefish they serve is fresh catch from the Lakes. Since the waters are colder the meat of the fish is firmer making it taste better. This is one of the better small restaurants in town. Have a drink and some fish at Millie's on Main.

We enjoyed a tasty lunch here. We came because the reviews said they had delicious pierogis. But they had a very limited menu due to Covid-19 so no pierogis. I decided to try the Yooper Pastie since it’s a local favorite. It’s like a mashed up beef stew wrapped in a thin crust with beef gravy. It was pretty good. My hubby had the turkey club sandwich which was huge and delicious. The service was gracious and efficient.

Being on Mackinac Island you have different expectations for a Resto or bar. You kinda want to be in the mix of folks but still get reasonable service and food. Millie’s delivered!
A 1:00 lunch on a busy day meant a short seating wait that was well worth waiting says the guy who never waits for tables when there are so many restaurants to try.
Once seated we were quickly greeted by a very efficient waiter who managed their tables with barely a wasted movement.
We opted for 4 apps for the three of us and the choice was perfect, giving us a great taste of the kitchen’s flavors without leaving us stuffed. All were delicious and served appropriately hot and cold. Special kudos for the whitefish dip and the fish tacos

The food at Millie's was pretty good overall but nothing special. The portions were small and price was above average for the food served. We had the fish tacos and white fish dinner. Service was fine as well.

Pub atmosphere and good food. As the name implies, it is on Main Street, so easy to find! We had the club sandwich and reuben - quite good. It also serves "pasties" (short a sound), which for me, are an acquired taste.

My Husband & I ate dinner here, one evening, during our stay on the island. I ordered the rosemary lemon grilled chicken entree. My Husband ordered the pan fried Michigan perch entree. We split a fresh garden greens salad with poppy dressing. Both entrees were very flavorful & the salad had a great variety of items. Our server, Kate, did an exceptional job in serving us. She checked on us several times during our stay. I highly recommend a visit to this eatery during your stay.
