The food was good, but the prices were extremely high. I am glad we went once, but I wouldn't go there again due to the high prices.

Try the woods for dinner, get a taxi and make your reservation early for a quaint dinner. The horse carriage will take about 20 minutes to get there, it's $7 per person each way. We enjoyed the great service and good number of food options. Service was very attentive

We had a conference meal here. The service was great and the food exceptional. The pecan ice cream ball with fudge sauce (don't know the official name) was exceptional. Of course, half the draw is the atmosphere itself in the main hall with two fire places, rustic wood decor, etc.

A friend and I decided to come here, but we did not have a whole lot of money, so we split an appetizer, entrée, and dessert and it filled us up! We got the Lobster Mac-N-Cheese (appetizer), Pan Seared Venison Medallions (entrée), and Profiteroles with Pistachio Crème (dessert)... Wow... Everything was delicious, our server (Baldwin) was excellent, and we had... More

My son and Daughter-in-law paid for our trip to the island as a 50th anniversary gift and one part of it was reservations at "The Woods" restaurant, part of the Grand Hotel experience of the island. We took a thirty minute buggy ride to the establishment with several other couples and arrived a half hour early but were fortunate to... More

Terrific food and service, piano music, two wood burning fireplaces. A great place to wind down, or bring someone for a romantic dinner.

We celebrated our 5 year on the island and heard great reviews on "The Woods". It was amazing! The service was delightful, the setting was so relaxing and the food was spectacular! It's a wonderful place to have 5 star food and service and not feel like you have to dress to the 9's. A business casual dress attire will... More

What a beautiful setting to enjoy the most amazing meals. Our server assured us that he could highly recommend every item on the menu and we were not disappointed with any of our choices. We brought the family (6 adults and 6 children) and from the carriage ride, special seating, delicous dinner, birthday dessert to the vintage bowling, we had... More

Just getting to The Woods is an adventure - horse-drawn carriage "taxi's" are required and are filled with like-minded diners. Our reservations (required) were for 8 pm, dusk in late September. Biking back to Mission Point Resort at a late hour was not to our liking. Therefore, we arrived in style, driven up to the front door like royalty. Once... More
