No visit to Mackinac Island is complete without purchasing fudge. The locals call the tourists fudgies. Joanna's fugues is excellent. Watch it being made.

Not that I've sampled all 15+ fudge shops on Mackinac Island, but I've tried quite a few and Joann's is my absolute favorite. It's the only one I go to now when I visit the Island. My favorite flavor is the Butter Pecan, but also enjoy chocolate peanut butter and plain chocolate as well.

Tried here and Sanders. Neither were bad, but Joann's was our favorite- the kind with oreo cookies inside caught our attention. Loved how you could see them making it on one side of the store.

Sampled all of the fudge stores on our visit and this one was the best. They have a flavor for everyone and sugar-free as well for those who need/prefer that is very good as well. They make the fudge in the shop which makes the place smell great. They have a shop in the city too if you don't want... More

We found a coupon for this fudge shop so we decided to give it a try. We are glad we did, this stuff was awesome. The perfect texture and sweetness that just melts in your mouth. Yum! We got plain old chocolate fudge and some dark chocolate candies that were also very good.

The taffy is so good here! The nice thing about this store is you can pick the kinds you like the most. Most all the other stores have the pre-packaged bags, so you get a bag with all flavors mixed in. I would definitely recommend!

We love shopping at Joann's at either the City or the Island. We enjoy watching them mold the fudge but the best part is eating the fudge!!! They have a wide variety of fudge and carry other snack items but we go there just for fudge. The service is usually good but sometimes they get super busy and there can... More

I read that of the 17 fudge shops on the island Joanne's is the top Trip Advisor rated. We came here on our first day and bought the double dark chocolate fudge with pecans. Amazing. On our last day we bought 8 different flavored slices so we could give them out to our friends and neighbors.

Delicious fudge! We tried three or four different kinds, and enjoyed them all. It is also very interesting to watch them making fudge on the marble tables located in the store.

This place has so many kinds of fudge it's hard to choose a favorite. The nice thing is you can sample any flavor before deciding what to purchase.
