Stopped in for breakfast before a busy day exploring the island. Our food was great. Biscuits and gravy delicious and one of, if not the best gravy ever! Biscuits nice and fluffy not dense at all. The eggs Benedict is great too. Poached eggs cooked...to perfection! The hash browns so good and crispy. The place was jammed but the servers kept up and ran everything smoothly. Not a fancy place by any means but we would definitely go back.More

Should have gotten the pancakes they looked delicious. I got the eggs Benedict my eggs were pretty much hard boiled not poached and our server never asked how our meal was. Very disappointing.

They were very busy. We did get seated right away. Our server wasn’t rude, but not overly friendly. The food was ok. My toast was burned, and sausage overcooked. The eggs were good and the bacon was crispy. My husband’s pancakes were also tasty. The...hash browns were average. We were very hungry by the time we got off the ferry, so stopped at the first place we saw.More

Maybe the cheapest breakfast on Mackinac Island. This place gets crowded in the mornings so arrive early and expect to wait for a table. The food was good but nothing special. The staff was very friendly.

Really good breakfast. Fast and good service. We both had the southwest skillet with chorizo and corned beef. It was pretty yummy. Nice spot to grab a breakfast. Make sure you get there before 9am or it fills up fast. 8 45am was the perfect...time to arrive for both our breakfasts.More

Two adults, one teen. Two out of three of us were not happy with our meal. Teen thought the biscuits and gravy were satisfactory, but not excellent. One adult got chocolate chip pancakes. Chips were on top of pancakes and between pancakes, no chips actually...in the pancakes. (unsatisfactory). One adult. the writer, didn't find anything on the menu she wanted, so asked for 2 eggs over easy and toast (dry). Received 2 burnt dry toast, sent it back and received good toast. After sending back the toast, I received my 2 eggs over easy. The egg whites were raw inside, sent it back, received 2 eggs over easy on a second try. But the eggs were fried in either a lot of butter or butter flavored oil, and I did not like the taste of the eggs in butter. Especially since I asked for no butter on toast, as I don't eat dairy products, not knowing that eggs would be fried in butter. Expensive generally unsatisfactory.More

I had hoped for a great breakfast. Ordered chilaquees with poached eggs. It came with dry chips, a teaspoon of crumbled cheese, the equivalent of 1 sprig of cilantro and eggs cooke to the almost hard boiled egg stage when I ordered poached and something...they defined as guacamole. Thank goodness I ordered 2 salsas as I needed the full 1/2 cup to moisten the chips. The chips are supposed to be tossed with a Ranchero type red sauce before building the base of the dish. I did complain to our waitress and she offered to bring me something else, I declined as I was not confident that any other dish would be any better. As I choked down the overpriced dish, I noticed how filthy the resturant windows, floors and baseboards were. At that point I could not get out of there fast enough. We.were.leaving the island immediately so I did not take the time.to find another resturant. Our 2 night trip overall was great. I just recommend a different place to dine on so many levels!More

We didn't like what we had for breakfast. I will say the service was fast and excellent. Taste wise, don't come if you are wanting it to taste like Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans. Pancake House does not take reservations. If you're looking for a restaurant on Mackinac Island that takes reservations try Mary's Bistro Draught House, 1852 Grill Room, and Ice House BBQ.
