Good basic menu. We had onion rings which were very good. We had the Michigan cherry salad and a cauliflower quinoa burger which we liked but felt the burger lacked some flavor even with the hummus topping. The blue cheese on the salad made the...dish. The beer is good but we thought the peach could have more peach taste. Service was great.More

Great food and service. I had the salmon. One of the few times I had salmon that was not over cooked. Perfectly done.

Solid menu with very good food. Nice range of craft brews. Pretty good wine and cocktail selections. Very friendly staff. Located close to the marina with good parking. Very popular so worth calling to try for reservations.

The only thing that made more of an impression than the terrible food was the appalling service. For some reason the hostess wanted us(3 adults, a toddler and 2 infants) to wait for a 4 top to be cleared before we were seated in a...dining room that was 75% empty. We suggested we sit at one of the empty and clean 6 tops that were available, that must have caused a problem for someone, because it went downhill from there. We were seated and our drink orders taken and our drinks arrived shortly afterwards minus a couple of lemon slices one of our party had asked for, another server came by about 20 minutes later with the lemon slices, I asked if I could have some more ice tea and was told that she was not my server and I would have to wait for our “real” server to fetch it for me. I thanked her for her help. After another 15 minutes or so our appetizers arrived, show strong evidence of sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period of time( the restaurant is still 75% empty). The entrees arrived about 30 minutes later, showing the same signs of sitting under a heat lamp, including the salad. Of the 4 entrees we had ordered the only order that was correct was the kid’s cheeseburger, all the others were either wrong or missing items. The food, as expected, was dry and flavorless. The Shift Manager came by and apologized for the service and mistakes and tried to rectify the problem by comping one appetizer and taking 20% of the tab. Unfortunately, for me the die was cast, like the indigestion brought on by the dry, tasteless food. We tipped 20% and left and I can assure you, I, for one will not return. My companions told me that this was their third attempt at liking something other than the beer at this establishment, I wished them luck in the future and told them I admire their tenacity but question their wisdom.More

Loved this place. I had a great pineapple martini and husband had a flight of delicious beers. Had the shrimp dip appetizer that was awesome. Our food was yummy as well. Service very good. Would go back and try something else.

What a find! This great brew pub/restaurant, located near the marina and ferry in Ludington, has excellent food and a full-service bar. There was a wide array of menu choices, the wait staff was pleasant, service was quick, their own brew offerings plentiful & delish,...& prices very reasonable. There’s plenty of indoor as well as covered and uncovered outdoor seating. There are some lovely gardens below the outdoor seating that had huge, beautiful hydrangeas adding additional ambiance as one looks out to Lake Michigan while eating outside. Jamesport Brewing is family friendly as well as a perfect gathering place for friends.More

There are few breweries that can pull off great food unfortunately and this restaurant is not one of them. I actually almost never use a poor review but this place had super high reviews and I would hate for any other foodie to be misguided....It is our anniversary and we headed to Ludington for the day as it is close(ish) to home. We went throughout the reviews of places and this was our 2nd choice as our first was closed for the day. Totally fine with us. Food looked great! We had the spicy shrimp dip for an appetizer. It came with sesame crackers. The dip was very bland which would have been fine but the crackers completely overwhelmed any flavor that the dip had in it. For an entree we had the cherry bourbon burger that we ordered medium well. When we received it, I was shocked that we got the option of how we wanted it cooked as it was clearly a from frozen patty. I was actually relieved to find it well done as I do not eat frozen underdone ever. It was under seasoned and did not seem to have any of the cherry bourbon sauce. I waited over 20 minutes for the waitress to check on us and asked for a side of the sauce hoping to help my burger out. 🤷‍♀️ It made it a little better but I didn’t end up finishing it after a couple of bites. The fries were good. We did end up ordering our dessert at the same time as our entree because the service timing was super slow. We ordered the strawberry shortcake with ice cream. It came and I asked for the check and we cashed out right then. It did not come with the ice cream we asked for. We each took a bite and neither of us liked it so we left and got Kilwins. 😜 That was delicious! Overall it was not great service although our waitress was super sweet and the food was bland. If ever I should come back to Ludington(and I will because it’s super cute) I will try another restaurant.More

We spent last weekend in Ludington. We came here for the first time for a drink and thought we'd try the large pretzel that is supposed to be a house favorite. I told the waiter when he asked how everything was. Well it's over done...and really dry and hard I said (for $15.00 I thought in my head but didn't say) and the bar cheese was cold and gross as well. He said back to me: 'I wouldn't know , I don't like pretzels' !!! Anyways we tried to eat part of it and just paid and left. We decided to try this place again 2 days later since it's top reviewed. I got the tacos, a new item, very bland and flavorless.........another disappointment. Don't always go with the top rated places is what I suggest!!More

Great garden out back for dogs & kids. They had a sand playground for kids & our 3 dogs enjoyed the water bowl under our picnic table. The Stout beer was really & so was the blueberry beer(w/ fresh blueberries on top). Happy hour 3-6...with $1 of pints. We weren’t hungry so didn’t eat but the line to get in was out the door when we left. I’d like to try the burger with cherries & pepper cheese- sounded great! The pretzel was Huge!More
