The breakfast from this place made two for me, and that is saying something! Their bread is a sight to behold. Friendly atmosphere. Family owned establishment, quaint decorating scheme. You need to go here!

Came for breakfast. Didn’t disappoint. It’s an old school family eatery but I happen to like those types of places. Ordered a farmer’s burrito. I thought the menu was just using commas poorly but turns out your American fries are inside the omelet. Would have...asked for them on the side if I’d known. Also would have asked fir the gravy on the side. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but there was too much gravy. The toast was incredibly thick. So good. Would definitely come back and try other menu items. Service was incredibly friendly too.More
Our innkeeper identified this restaurant as a local institution and highly recommended it to us; thus, we were optimistic. Generally we did not like the experience. The waitress was somewhat assertive, and the food, hailed as homemade, was mediocre at best. My son had chicken...alfredo, and the chicken was processed cubes rather than fresh meat. My husband's pasta dish with marinara sauce and vegetables did not taste good.More
Enjoyed our meal (chicken, American fries and salad). Good size portions and no wait for a table on Thursday evening.
No take out available! Don’t need the locals business in the summertime. Some people need take out! Especially the elderly!!!
Great food friendly staff. Hate they could only be at 50% because they could not get more help. This is somewhere we would love to come for breakfast!! Check all our reviews at YouTube 1 million mile road trip
Food was ok, interior is looking outdated, service was excellent though. I am not sure if we pick this restaurant the next time we are visiting Ludington.
Breakfast was good. Staff friendly and attentive. Homemade cinnamon rolls the size of the plate and recommend. Fresh bread was the cherry on top of our visit.
Both my husband and I loved the food here! Service was wonderful. Polite and didn't hover. Homemade bread to die for! Took loaf home. So good we went back next day for lunch again.
My wife was amazed that my mouth was not big enough for my sandwich. Shaved beef with sautéed onions and green peppers on homemade bread.
I have been going to breakfast and occasionally to dinner at Old Hamlin for many years. I am in their area for a month at a time a couple of times every year. This place is consistently good in every way. It has been family...owned and operated for several generations and have served me and my family for four generations. Thanks for being my resturant home away from home!More
Our family visited Ludington for a one day while taking a round trip on Badger. Had to find some food, didn't feel like waiting in line at a busy place down the street so found a spot that looked promising. Walked through the back with...our maskson. We were seated right by the buffet that was open on our side. Again with our masks on and hands behind our backs we got up to take a peak not realizing that we are doing something wrong. "Hey, you! You two, get out of there! You can't be there! " was a loud voice coming from a way back . She clapped at us and scream so the entire place could hear. My daughter and I were treated like dogs. Embarrassed in front of everyone. My husband calmed me down because I was ready to walk. I have worked for 30 years in a customer service and would not even imagine treating anyone like that. food was good but atmosphere was ruined by some horrible, unhappy old witch in charge.More
Always come here for breakfast, ever since I was a small child. Food is consistent and plentiful. Don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach. Two pancakes (which are malted so they are fluffy and huge) fill me up I don't even get hungry...until after normal dinner time. The servers are totally old school and on top of things - always refilling your coffee, making sure your meal is good, and making suggestions for things they think you will like (if you let them). The place has not been updated in decades, which is good in some ways (nostalgia) and not so good in others (feels unclean - but isn't - and dimly lit). Lots of offerings on the menu and they don't rush you. The server took our cash and made change right at the table like they did in the old days. Love this place!More
Thank you!
This place has been here a long time you can tell. The decor is not great. The menu is huge. You can get anything from breakfast, sandwiches, comfort southern cooking and Italian! The servers are all older woman, but move quickly. They are also very...nice. I had saganaki for the first time. A Greek cheese dish that they make at the table. DeliciousMore
Thank you
Old school restaurant with excellent food and service that was the best we had in our stay at Ludington.
Thank you very much!
