My husband & I visited during the shut down of restaurants but they had their patio open. It was during the winter so it was enclosed with plastic & there were heaters. It was still cold. We thought we arrived before the “dinner” rush. We...were told the wait was 1 hour & 10 minutes. The wait ended up being over 2 hours. The hostess had a bad estimate of time. We were pretty irritated by the time we were seated but our server was awesome and made up for it. The food was not great but large portions. My husband got the lasagna & it was HUGE. We were not impressed. We will not be back until maybe things are back to ‘normal”.More

We have been frequenting E.G. Nick's for over 25 years. We enjoy everything from the moment we walk in, to when we say "thank you, see you next time". Afternoon hunger pangs and we'll order their burgers, soups or pizza. No place else in town...can we pick our choice of protein (beef, turkey, veggie, or salmon) cooked to perfection and finished with a nice selection of toppings. Their green salads have a variety of green leaves and unique combinations, nothing boring here. Our favorite is the Apple Orchard salad with sliced apples, pecans, dried cranberries, grilled chicken, sliced red onions, Parmesan cheese with poppy-seed dressing. Yummy! Dinnertime entrees are sooooo delicious. Here's a few of our favs, Jack Salmon, Fried Perch, Ribs for Two (enough to take plenty home), Fettuccine Alfredo (we request it with a piece of grilled salmon), Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. Oh I almost forgot, in the appetizer section the Bang Bang Shrimp is absolutely delicious. Some in our family have ordered it as a dinner entree. Excellent! We could talk on just about everything on their menu, but I think you get our gist. ...one more thing, Thursdays is normally Chicken Florentine soup. Yep, that's delicious too, especially with their hot bread sticks & garlic cheese spread.More

First off I want to share the food was outstanding. The reason for the poor review is the waitress and some of the other wait staff had masks but they were not covering their mouth or nose. With Covid on the rise again I urge...service workers to respect customers. Breathing on our food and talking made us uncomfortable. We won’t be coming back until we are comfortable that it’s safe. If the mask wearing was enforced it would have been a great experience. The tables were marked off and the social distancing rule was followedMore

Great restraunt, we go here often. Good food. We love the breadsticks and garlic cream cheese. My favorite dish I'd Jeff's favorite or black tie pasta....

We enjoyed our dinner. Waitress suggested the ribs. They were just average, but I am very critical on BBQ. Everything else was good.

Had smothered chicken breast off specials menu. Came with two chicken breasts smothered with mushrooms, onions and cheese- awesome, could not finish. Wife had sausage pesto flatbread which was also awesome and too much to eat. Service was top rate.

This has been a favorite of ours for years so we suggested it for a family gathering Sunday afternoon. Atmosphere is great. We were seated right away and our waitress was delightful. So why the low rating? Our favorite, the ribs, were disappointing. Dry not...juicy. Pretty tender. Spaghetti side looked and tasted like it was leftover. Greek salad was as good as usual as were the breadsticks. I won’t give up on this restaurant but I think I’ll need to find a new favorite.More

I am writing this from the perspective of someone whose job required me to travel literally all over the country for 27 years. So I have eaten at all sorts of places from the very nice to horrible. First of all the building and parking...lot were clean and tidy inside and out. The interior was tastefully decorated and comfortable. My wife and I both had one of the dinner specials: pork chops and turkey dinner. The coleslaw tasted crisp and fresh not mushy. A huge portion of turkey, dressing and gravy that couldn't have been better. Even after eating all I could there was enough in my to go box for another meal later. In summing up there was absolutely nothing I could find fault with. For the record I stumbled upon this place by chance and had never heard of this place before.More

My husband and I stopped in to EG Nicks to take my mom out for dinner and we were very pleased with the meal. The inside appears to have been recently renovated, as it looked very different from the last time we visited (though it...has been a while.) The dining area was clean and we were greeted by the hostess immediately upon entering the restaurant. Our table was a combination chair and booth set up, which I am not a fan of, but it worked for us, since chairs are easier for my mom than booth benches. Our server was very attentive and apologetic when there was a minor issue with our meal (our small pizza shrank in the oven so the cook started a new one for us, which was greatly appreciated. We even still got to keep the shrunken one, which was still delicious and allowed me to eat at the same time as everyone else while waiting for the new pizza.) We all ordered something different, and everything we ordered came out perfectly cooked. I will definitely be returning in the future and highly recommend EG Nicks to anyone who will be traveling through the Lapeer area and looking for a nice place to stop for lunch or dinner.More

We have never been told we need to order drinks. Sometimes we do but other times we just have water with lemon.
