This family owned Restaurant is AWESOME. The menu far exceeds Soup! Their wide range of breakfast to lunch and dinner is varied and presents a wide variety of option dishes including soups. If you are in Lansing Michigan this place is a must. Our family...gathering were all more than pleased with the quality of food, menu options and excellent service.More

Traditional Eggs Benedict was okay. The hash browns were wonderful though. Not a good sign when you rave more about the hash browns than the main portion? Caesar salad was average too.

Waste of time. We went on a weekend. Expected a wait. The waitress was nice and timed is 30-40 min wait. We waited about 20 before we were seated. From what i could tell, there were 3 waitresses working. The menu is quite large and...looked promising. The waitress did not come by much, we saw her 3 times over the course of an hour. I had to chase down 2 times across the restaurant. We had steak and eggs, the steak was cold and chewy (gross). Pancake for my son was burnt. My Irish scramble had tiny, pieces of corned beef that were super hard to find. Mostly potatoes. I believe the menu stated freshly baked break, but it was stale and chewy. All in all, to wait an hour for that quality of food and service was a waste of time.More

The beer and service were good, the hostess rather unfriendly For the sake of variety we chose five small plates But 3 of the 5 were drenched in fattening sauces And the patio umbrellas couldn’t be turned so as to shield us from the blazing...sunMore

Would love to say that the majority of our wait was to be seated but it actually took us an hour to receive our food. Waited for 30 mins to be seated and the rest of the experience went downhill from there. Ordered 6 dishes:...biscuits and gravy, french toast, southwest omelet, steak and eggs, veggie stir-fry with shrimp, and some sort of scrambled eggs. Received the biscuits and gravy after about 20 mins. Then after another 10 mins, the french toast came out. My starving family just ate it as it came...Then after about another 30 mins, the server came to say a couple of our dishes were up but she was waiting on the SW omelet. Husband tells her to bring whatever is up, out and that is when the scrambled egg dish and the stir-fry come out with hard, crusty cheese on top of the egg dish, from sitting. Nothing was that fabulous to say we'd give it another try. There was never an apology or explanation. So disappointing.More

Another Lansing-area restaurant doing a super job of adding outdoor seating and shifting to accommodate safer dining. Took two teens here for lunch and everyone enjoyed!

After college visit on the other side of the state, we decided to stop for dinner. What a pleasant surprise! The manager was amazing! Friendly, kind, knowledgeable and from our town. Dishes pictures are: Petit Vegan Duo, Pesto Prima Vera, Reuben, Lamb Sliders. Everything was...made from scratch, flavorful, and fresh. We already are discussing plans for a future visit to try the French onion soup and bread pudding 😉More

We arrived and were pleasantly graded and seated outside to our wishes. Josh, our waiter, made the evening! Funny friendly and good at what he does. The beer was good, the lamb sliders were excellent as an appetizer, it took a little bit of time...for the food to come, but when it did… Excellent! We would go there again :-)More

We came to the Soup Spoon for Valentines Day. The Spoon never disappoints. I loved the crab stuffed whitefish and my husband devoured a hamburger. He claims it’s the best burger he’s ever had. Clean, yet inviting atmosphere, coupled with excellent service and amazing food....Kudos Nick and Spoon staff!! You never disappoint. Thank you!!More

The menu is very good with some options that are out of the ordinary. The food on all three occasions that I was there in February was excellent and service was outstanding. It's a quiet restaurant and a great place to go to talk with...friends while enjoying a meal. Parking is somewhat limited in their lot, but there is also streetside parking available.More
