Still one of our favorite restaurants in Lansing. We love the casual atmosphere and tavern feel. The pizza is our favorite and always try the "Trust Us" pizza and never disappointed. Love the cocktails and also try the "Trust Us" cocktails. We really love to meet friends here for a nice evening out.

The perception of Zoobies Tavern in Old Town Lansing is one that takes you back, but this isn’t your father’s after-work bar stop. As you enter through the front door patrons will find a smattering of booths and a couple standing platforms centered in front of the old bar. Belly up, or make your way back to Cosmos, Zoobies sibling restaurant connected at the corner. Wait staff is friendly and helpful. Thanks Julia! The kitchen crew is busy making specialty brick-oven pizzas. Great place to meet friends or grab a draft beer while waiting for your carry out order. Great selection of northern Michigan breweries from TVC, Petoskey, and my favorite Cheboygan. Zoobies/Cosmos best accommodates adults, so leave the kids and 20-something’s at home. ;)

What a great atmosphere! The food is quite good with an excellent selection of pizzas. There is a strong selection of beers on tap and this places knows how to make a nice cocktail.

We went here after moving my son into MSU and went with a couple of other families so there was 12 of us . They were able to accommodate us right away. Very unique menu and variety of pizzas. I had the grilled romaine salad and truffle chicken pizza. Both were excellent! Pizzas serve about 2-3 people depending on how hungry you are. Service was fine. Would go back just for the great drinks and food.

Semi-clean restroom. Hipster vibe. Sweetest bartender ever. Forget burgers and sandwiches. This is salads, pizza, apps. I had the whipped goat cheese and peach bruschetta. Small portion, upscale price. Looks like a shot and a beer joint, but it is more a Campari & soda place.

I went with my family for my brother's birthday. They have some very unique food items. The duck fat fries were amazing, as anyone will tell you. I had the corn fritters as an entree. There are so many amazing flavors packed into these fritters that I can hardly believe it. Sweet, spicy, salty, tart. And the crunchy texture coupled with the soft cream cheese filling, and the unique sauces served alongside it as well as the great tomato jam. I've been craving them. My mom had some battered jumbo shrimp with peppers - I had one and they were pretty amazing too. Fresh not at all chewy shrimp - HUGE ones. Batter was good as was the sauce. The pizzas my brother ordered were ok. The breakfast one was great if you are looking for breakfast. The other pizza, while unique, tasted a little odd to me. But I think perhaps I didn't like one of the drizzles on it. There were a lot of pizzas to choose from I would definitely go back and try a different one. And I want to go back to try some other dishes anyway. It was VERY loud, even on a weekend morning. We did ask to have the music turned down a little though because two of us are half deaf, and they gladly obliged. The servers were very friendly although they did forget to refill our drinks. We are definitely going back.

Zoobie's is a chill spot to get dinner, or grab a beer. They share a menu with The Cosmo's so the pizza is to die for. I also highly recommend the Truffle Popcorn.
It can get crowded, but we have always been able to find a spot.
I also want to give a shout out to the staff! I have always had a pleasant experience with the bartenders and servers at Zoobie's, but none more so than on a recent visit when a very drunk and obnoxious man would not leave us alone. Not only did multiple servers recognize that we were bothered, but they were willing to intervene and remove the problem. I appreciate seeing women look out for other women and stick up for each other. Thanks, ladies!

They have an excellent selection of craft beers. The furnishing are a little "quaint." It can get quite crowded on a week night for good reason. Staff is friendly and attentive (when they can be). They are neighbors to Cosmos, a stellar pizza place.

Very good service here, good food and reasonable prices. I want to visit on a night when they have an event etc. My biggest issue is that it could be cleaner. The ceiling, walls, doors etc need attention. Tables and chairs were OK, just couldn't help notice the cob webs and dust.

It was a very busy Friday night but once we were seated we had excellent service, delicious beer, and the ‘Trust Us’ pizza was outstanding! We like adventure so why not incorporate it into your food? We also loved the Tomato Basil pizza which was also tasty. Would definitely go back!

Not like the tavern of old, this is definitely upscale from 20-30 years ago. Interesting food, good service, beer a little on the pricy side. Try the Cuban Pork Pizza.

As far as your Lansing options go, this is one of the better places. That being said, if in any real city, it would be average. Zoobies is known as a trendy cocktail place with good food, particularly the pizzas they serve from their neighbor/sister restaurant Cosmos next door. The cocktails are okay — not the best but certainly better than most establishments in Lansing. They have great beer on rotating taps. FThe food is good. The pizza is creative and tasty. (Again, it’s not real Italian or NYC pizza but a solid midwestern artisan pizza). One pizza for two to three people works well, depending on how hungry everyone is and whether you get an appetizer or salad. The salads are good and come with choice of steak or jerk chicken topping. The music is too loud. I visited with two friends and we had to shout across the small table at each other even though the restaurant was only moderately busy. During a break in the music, we could hear each other fine. That’s really an unfortunate aspect of the atmosphere. I return again and again because it really is one of the best places in Lansing to get some grub and have a decent beverage. (Would be vastly improved if it could actually hear the voices of my friends.)

They have a good selection of Michigan beers. We sat on the patio which had plenty seating. Good wait staff, never had to wait, they seem to work together. The pizza was good. We also tried a season popcorn that was good

1st time here for a family dinner. Had a great time.
Excellent food although not a lot of menu options beyond pizza and very interesting and tasty appetizers. The pizza was great as well as the brussel sprout salad and duck fat fries. Lots of beers in bottle and on tap.
Really neat and fun atmosphere.
Service was great. Prices were a bit high but within reason.
