This was the second Chinese restaurant we have tried in Lansing area. It's a small place located at a shopping plaza. We ordered two typical Chinese dishes. Both were tasted good. But the portion were smaller than we thought. Their service were friendly and nice.

While I am still looking for the best Chinese meal, this one wasn't it but it was good. I ordered a chicken and a beef fried rice, egg rolls and almond chicken. Food was good, service was excellent.

As others have said, it's basic inside. We were a little hesitant at first when we were the only ones in there on a Saturday night at 6:00pm. More people turned up after a bit.
We tried 3 different meals. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was basic, not much to it. The Hunan chicken was better. And the General Tso's was quite good. Crispy on the outside, and the sauce was just right. We'd probably go back again.

Excellent dinner! The crab Rangoon was amazing and the best I’ve ever had. The general Taos chicken was a little bit bland but not bad. Egg rolls are huge and really good.

Excellent Chinese food. Great egg rolls. Had many entries and always good. Soups are excellent and good fried rice. Daily specials. Lunch Menu. Plenty of extras.
Courteous staff, very polite. The restaurant is always clean and well maintained. Simple decor. Always a table available. It seems to have a big takeout following.

Best Chinese in Lansing. Standard prices for a family owned Chinese place. Excellent food, you’ll have to wait a little since the food appears to be made fresh after you order it. Absolutely worth the wait. Try the Crab Rangoons, hilariously misspelled as Crab Gangoons on their menu, which are the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Also their Cashew Chicken is very different than what you’d expect - white sauce for example - but it is incredible. Been there a lot and will keep coming back.

Apple Jade is open and in operation. Had dinner there with friends. Food was good. Service was good. Only complaint was I ordered Hot and Sour Soup and General Tao Chicken. The menu had a pepper next to both indicating it was spicy. Both were OK tasting, but had no kick what so ever. Other said the shrimp dishes were all very good.

The new owners have changed the menu. IT looks great. However the food is not. We have been going to this restaurant for 30 years at least once or twice a week. It was great. The price, food and service. The have dropped ALL three. We will NOTe going back. They will not last without some MAJOR changes.

Meet friends for dinner at Apple Jade. They are still in business at 300 N. Clippart St. in Lansing. There was seven people each ordered something different. Nobody could finish what they ordered. Everybody left with doggie bag (not for the dog). I had the General Tao Chicken. Crisp with a nice sauce. Not very spicy, but very good tasting. Have been there in the past and will return again in the future.

Meet friends at Apple Jade Restaurant for dinner. There were eight in attendance. All agreed that what they ordered was very good. Everybody had something different. I had the General Tao Chicken. It had a nice kick, a wonderful sauce and was fried to perfection. The prices are very fair, service was good and everybody had a good time. In Frandor Mall about half way between Grand River Avenue and Michigan Avenue. On the east side of Clippert and on the north side of the building.

Their taiwanese food are unique and good in Lansing area, and the service is above the average Chinese restaurants. To make it even better, they accept all kinds of credit cards from VISA to AMEX, which is a huge plus for Chinese restaurants.

I've had food that's really good and other times there is a mistake with the order or isn't as good as the previous time.

I've personally gone to this restaurant over probably a hundred times in this part decade, or since the new apple jade opened doors and I would like to say I've probably tried almost every dish on the menus. After reading some of these "1 star" reviews its too bad that they had bad experiences but I have never. The almond chicken came with plenty of chicken and the egg rolls are some of the best I've tried. I think the service can sometimes come to a halt when they're busy which is good for them but I don't really like waiting that much. The decor is o.k. but I'm here for the food so who cares.

I have always loved Apple Jade and have been going for over 30 years. For my birthday we ordered delivery from Apple Jade only to discover it was now the New Apple Jade with a changed menu. We had two entrees and split egg rolls. The egg rolls were good but not great. One entree was better than the other but only average. The other entree was completely tastless. Additionally they don't have brown rice although the menu says they do. Really disappointing.

I ate at the "old" Apple Jade for many years. The food and service were absolutely wonderful. What a change with the new owners. The food now served is very bland and tasteless. The almond chicken was mostly green pepper chunks with little chicken or almonds. The tempura vegetables were soggy and no crisp as they used to be. The rice wasn't even good. So sad to see a once fantastic restaurant become so mediocre. I don't intend to eat there again.
