my sister and I have lunch here every time wee have our hair cut across the street. love the chicken gumbo soup and several of the sandwich dishes

A decent meal, presented well for a fair price. Staff were welcoming and helpful. It would have got 5* but for the fact the coffee was cold - this was promptly replaced with hot though.

Right on the Mall, this is a great place for lunch. The menu has lots of choices and the food is well-prepared. Also excellent beer and wine choices. Service is fast and friendly.

The Union is on the Mall and a few steps from Michigan Ave. They have a nice selection of beer. and have music on some nights. The food is very good especially the burgers.If you like to eat early the Happy Hours are awesome.

Not sure if the Union has a private room. The Wine Loft in Kalamazoo might, and Zazios has a private section that would probably work well.
