Oftentimes delectable delicacies, extraordinary edibles, “foodie” foodstuffs, are found in the most inauspicious, unassuming locales. Such is the environs of Ray Ray’s Italian Beef & Sausage in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The trip to find this purveyor of fine sausages and barbecues, huddled in a nondescript strip mall, is well worth the effort. A recent foray to Ray Ray’s eatery centered on... More

We seen this place listed on TripAdvisor and people were saying good things about the food, so we decided to try it. No kidding when one of the posts said, "a hole in the wall." We almost missed the place, as we passed it and had to turn around. We ordered two sandwiches, a burger (forgot name), which turned out... More

Well, this place is a hidden gem. Excellent tasting food Chicago style....hot dogs, Italian beef, combo, fries and more. Seating for less than 10 people and expect a wait for your food. Everything is made to order.

This is one of those little neighborhood hole in the walls where some of the best food resides. The food variety is good, and the value for the money spent is incredible. It is like a truck stop. I tried a little bit of everything since it had come so highly recommended.... Chicago Dog, Fries, Chili, Potato Salad, Italian Beef.... More

I have been to Chicago many times and had the beef sandwiches and Ray Ray's is better. This little spot makes great beef sandwiches, awesome Chicago dogs, great sausages and burgers. They dip 'em and have the peppers and onions to make the experience authentic. The biggest surprise was the best fries I and have ever had. I love fries... More

Staying in town for a few days and found this little hole in the wall. AMAZING! We had the Italian beef, Chicago dawgs, and tips with two sides. Everything was full of flavor and so good! The staff was so friendly. I seen they only accept cash, which I had none on me. I told the owner I would be... More

Not plush, but that's not why you go to a place like this. Great sandwiches, fries, coleslaw; a required stop for me whenever I'm in Kalamazoo. Closed Mondays. Damnit.

Everything is solid, but the best thing hands down is the Italian beef! I get my mine w grilled onions, spicy jardiniere, and dipped in au jus. Throw in an order of their hand cut fries and your in for a treat. One of Edison Neighborhoods best kept secrets. Order ahead because it's always packed!
