Stayed at hotel - had dinner on second night. Good platefuls on lamb and beef roast dinners ordered. Good attempt at sticky toffee pudding. Liked the taster of 3 third pints of ale. Very friendly service - great with our son. Good highchair provided.

We got a friendly welcome, good service and a tasty meal. Steak and ale pie particularly good and came with selection of well cooked vegetables. Good choice of ales. We thought it good value.

Great for a local dinner choice within walking distance, unfortunately the staff service and lack of ambience in the lounge is the only thing to let this down on a 5* review. Much better ambience in the lounge area where we had chose to enjoy...More

There is only one pub in village, but it's great for food / drinks, not really a drinks only venue, Stamford 5 miles away a better option. 20 plus pubs and bars including the "Wine Bar" which is great.

Can get busy and it is school holidays. If in doubt book a table, particularly if you want to be in the dining room.

Yes, I'd agree with John S, typically 9.00pm, but they probably wouldn't be too impressed with orders coming in after 8.45!
